What can I do to obtain best picture possible with this TV.  When I watch DVDs it seems to me that black color is overexposed and it looks grayish.  I've heard that there are calibration DVDs that can achieve picture quality comparable to the professional calibration ?

Some of the more popular setup/calibration disc are as follows:

1- Avia Guide to Home Theater

    2- Digital Video Essentials

    3- Sound & Vision's Home Theater Tune-up

Most can be purchase via the internet or your local brick and mortar.

The calibration disks that NiteHawk listed will get you as close as you can get without having an ISF tech come out and calibrate your KDF-42WF620/655. These disks will also provide setup instructions and test tones for a surround sound system. Well worth their price.
