hi guys,
Need some help on entering the service menu for Sony KV-HR36M61, which is very similar to the 34XBR910 that are available in the US. Looks and features are very much the same, although mine is the asian version, made in japan. With less customizable picture (only able to change picture settings on Personal, cant do with Standard, Dynamic or Hi-Fine setting). I would like to go in the service menu and fix the red-push in the color decoder as well as put the VSM to off. I tried the button combo method that was on an earlier thread ( I believe it was DISPLAY-5-VOLUME +-POWER ON but that did not work as my TV turned on when I press 5) Anyway, maybe other sony enthusiasts in the Asian region or maybe even some in other parts of the world might know how to get into the service menu for this kind of TV model. And maybe how to navigate if it is different than the US model. Thanks beforehand.

You've got the sequence right for the XBR910-960, but you must press these buttons within about one second of each other. Pause too long in the middle, and it won't work. You may have thought of this already, but though I'd mention it.
Display - 5 - Volume+ - PowerOn
