I have a Sony kv-x2572u that after turning it on goes into standby after exactly 1 minute 34 seconds. You can then take it out of standby and continue watching for another 1 minute and 34 seconds till it goes into standby again! You can keep doing this for as long as you want. When the tv is on the stereo lights flash alternately, and when it goes into standby the continue to flash but faster.

All of the similar faults I have seen listed point to the line output chip as the problem, anyone think that this is the case here?

Also if anyone can get the Service manual for this can they e-mail it to me at

I will have to check about a visible problem on the scree as the TV is at a friends at the moment.

All of the joints on the board have already been touched with an iron in case of dry joints, but I will check IC1501.

As for the LEDs flashing it is 1 time A, 1 time B, 1 time A, 1 time B... and so on.

    Thanks.
