I have a Sony TV Model KDf E60A20. Last night the tv popped and the screen went blank. I have no sound, but the tv will try to come on with a green blinking light. After about 20 seconds the light under the lamp word starts to blink red. Iwas wondering if the lamp issue also controls the audio because I no sound thru my set but yet I have sound thru my TV into my surround sound system.and can change channels and everything .

    Hello talldrink64,

As stated, posting in the FAQ section of this forum is limited to Administrators and Moderators. I am moving your thread to the Television Troubleshooting section of the forum where it will have a better chance of being addressed by one of the TV techs.

Lamp replacement should resolve your problem.

    Best of luck,
    Joe

Welcome to Agoraquest!  The lamp light is telling  you to replace the lamp.

Will the lamp replacement cure the sound issue also?

    talldrink64,

Please post back to this thrread after you replace the lamp and let us know how things worked out.
You will be blown away by how bright the display is once again. It fades so gradually that we can not even notice it.

    Joe
