Welcome to Agoraquest!  For the KDF-46E2000, 3 blinks, pause, 3 blinks, etc. means "Lamp cover / Lamp position error".  The causes of these errors are "Lamp cover is not securely attached (T1 board) / Lamp is not inserted properly (T2 board).  The T1 and T2 boards contain position switches that are actuated when the lamp cover is fully closed / the lamp is fully inserted.

Thank you for reply.  I actually searched the forums and found a solution posted previously by 2 other members and it worked! The solution:  Step 1.  Remove lamp assembly.  Step 2.  Locate small metal clip at bottom right corner on tv end where lamp assembly plugs into tv.  Step 3.  Pull metal clip out slightly toward you.  Step 4.  Reconnect everything and turn power on.  It worked for the other members and worked for me!  I never thought this would work, but I was willing to try anything.  If anyone knows what this clip is for and why this works, I would love to know.
