thanks. I called sony reference that service bulletin,but they said they could not find it.doesn't matter, its out of warranty.guess its my own money to fix it.any idea on the average cost for this repair?
I know this has been covered in the past,but I need help. I've had my 40xbr800 for a couple years now so the warranty is not applicable. Now that i have HD programming, I've noticed those annoying vertical lines that go from right to left when watching hd. I ve hooked he hd box up with both dvi and component cables and have noticed that the problem was worse with dvi. dvds look great.read a while back that it might be a bad dvi card but it shows up with component hookup too. is there a fix?pleeease does anyone have good info on this,suggestions? i hate to have a 300 lb paper weight. Ive been looking into the samsung too,I am itching to try the dvi out on my 40xbr800.From what I ve been reading on the net if you dont plan on using the dvi input dont bother getting the samsung w/dvi.theyve been saying the component outputs on those arent all that great.same with the vV bravo d1, which also has the dvi output but is about $100 less than samsung.it has the same issues w/not so great picture from the component.so only get one if you r going to use the dvi.the pic is supposed to be very impressive.Im just wary about buying the first model available.I mean w/new tech there is a ..
Hi,this is my first post. I own the the 40xbr800 and am currently looking to get tivo service.Ive been shopping around on the net.Is there any advantage to the svr-3000 vs. the tivo model put out by tivo?Also Ive seen that some places no longer carry the svr-3000.Is there a new model (svr-4000,w/120 hours)due out soon?
