Thank you for looking in. I am quite a novice - got a creative labs digital sound card, used optical cables, have a Sony 5.1 speakers with the Advanced SAW subwoofer; played CDs off the computer and it all the speakers work (including the subwoofer), but the subwoofer puts out no sound after a bit (2-3 minutes?) - tried the DVD player (Attack of the Clones) with the same result. borrowed a different subwoofer (Panasonic SA100) and got the same result (no sound out of the subwoofer after a few minutes) - tried cinematic, normal surround settings on the receiver - with about the same result; ..
I have this strange problem with my Sony STRDE875 receiver - the subwoofer speaker drops off (tried a Panasonic SA 100 and my Sony Advanced SAW) and both behave the same - it works for a short period then drops off. Can anyone shed light on this problem? Thanks
