| Amp/Receiver/Speaker... | Sony STR-DA3300ES | well I have a 4es and a 5es both sound great and have plenty of power all channels driven and both receivers are very similar.I've never really put them head to head for a comparison but I would give a slight nod to the 5es as I beleive its slightly better in that it has 3rd room and a learning remote and the soundfeilds can be changed to run in any mode.My brother in law has the 5400es and I wouldn't trade the 4es or the 5es for it. I've noticed the 5400es has some issues with hdmi as the voices dont always match the picture ,never had this with either the 4 or 5es.I think you should go for t .. |

| Amp/Receiver/Speaker... | STR-DA4ES Can't use Optical with DVD | Did you go into the menu on your new bluray player and change the output to digital? simple but Ive seen others make this mistake.Also dont assume its the 4es receiver their could be something wrong with your player try plugging it into a different receiver perhaps a friends.My 4es still works flawlessly and I agree with Max your 4es is a better receiver than the newer ones. |

| DVD | cordless keyboard DVP - CX995V sony | Thanks for the info I ended up finding a corded keyboard and it worked fine,if I would have had to buy one a cordless one would be what I wanted.I loaded 103 disks and it worked just as you said again thanks again. |
| Getting Started/Buil... | Replacing my 50" SXRD | Brother in laws LG plasma only lasted a little over a year and the board fried a few months past the end of his warranty.My Panisonic tv needed repairs after only 3 years ,most of these new tvs are junk.The old Sony ctr is still running after 26 years ,why upgrade until they can learn to make things that last.I think thats what happens when everything is made in poor quality cheap crap.All these new tvs are way overpriced they should only be about $300 because they'll only last a few years at best.lol [ This message was edited by: parney on 2010-02-24 1 .. |

| DVD | cordless keyboard DVP - CX995V sony | Wondering if a cordless keyboard such as by logitec will work to program dvd list in sony dvp - cx 995v ? Or do you need to use a standard corded keyboard. Has anyone got any tips on loading dvds in this player mannual is not all that helpfull.Can you load say 40 or 50 dvds and then add more later or what? Wondering if you have to let each individual dvd load up as your putting them in to see if the player will recognize them? WEll any help or comment would be great thanks very much rp |

| Getting Started/Buil... | Best way to hook up Sony DVPCX995V 400 disc change | I have my Sony DVPCX995V 400 disc changer hooked up through component and pic seems fine like you my tv has no hdmi.Just bought it the other day ,so youve had yours for 3 years shoe_pk have you had any problems with yours? reveiws on the DVPCX400 where not that good so I'm just a little concerned.Like you I read the same thing about the upscaling and have wondered about this myself. |

| Amp/Receiver/Speaker... | DA4ES and BluRay DTS-HD Master Audio tracks | I have the da4es and havent had any issues with erratic sub althought I dont have the same movies you listed.I have no intermittent front panel function knob problem either.It maybe just a poorley done soundtrack on those few movies. |
