Getting Started/Buil...New Sony ES Receivers? In Canada alls Ive seen is the 5400 advertised guess Sony doesn't want our buissness anymore when I decide to upgrade my 4es I might have to switch brands.
Home Theater GalleryDUKETBRD88--MY TWO CHANNEL SETUP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!very impressed with your system .
Home Theater GalleryDenMar's home theater setupVery nice system I share the same receiver and came close to buying a pair of ASF2's but unfourtunetly it didnt happen.Seems we are all limited somewhat by the WAF factor.
Home Theater GalleryLiving room setupvery nice system be sure to repost when you get that new tv.
Amp/Receiver/Speaker...A/V recievers in place of power-amps/pre-ampsNot on every A/V receiver out there claiming 100 watts.
Amp/Receiver/Speaker...STRDA4ES OPT/COAX LED QuestionTry spraying some contact cleaner in your function knob and then move it back and forth several times this should help. For your other problem I had a similar thing happen with my 4es it would never want to switch when in sat mode. Make sure your speaker select switch is on A speakers this can also screw you up.
    Amp/Receiver/Speaker...sony ss c 57 speakersmore pics
    Amp/Receiver/Speaker...sony ss c 57 speakersheres pics
Amp/Receiver/Speaker...sony ss c 57 speakersThanks jittar for your effort I wont be able to post any pics for several days as my son borrowed the camera and hes out of town until next week. When he returns I will post some picks. I'm guessing that they are at least five to ten years old but its only a guess. The general apperance of them was great with a few minor scuffs but when I went to pull the covers off them they where very tight just like when they are new.Behind the covers they appeared to be mint just like brand new kinda strange thats why I'm so curious about there age.
Amp/Receiver/Speaker...sony ss c 57 speakersJust picked up a set of sony ss c 57 speakers at a garage sale for next to nothing ,these speakers are mint and sound great. I cant seem to find any info on them online and I'm wondering how old they are does anybody have any info on these.Thanks...
Amp/Receiver/Speaker...Congrats To MaxxCONGRATULATIONS always enjoy your comments or input.
Amp/Receiver/Speaker...4ES Input Mode for Sat/TVWhen I hit the ''Input mode ''button with TV/SAT selected it only says ''analog 2ch Fixed'' and the orange light is on in the audio split button.I think I'll try Maxxwires suggestion and try using a different input.
Amp/Receiver/Speaker...4ES Input Mode for Sat/TVThanks for the sugestion but my speakers are set on A .
Amp/Receiver/Speaker...4ES Input Mode for Sat/TVYes indeed I have.
Amp/Receiver/Speaker...4ES Input Mode for Sat/TVany one have any ideas on this im running an optical cable from my sat receiver to tv/sat in and the orange light in the audio split button is staying on.It saying analog input only this seems strange to me.Any help would be apreceiated.
Amp/Receiver/Speaker...4ES Input Mode for Sat/TVdid you ever resolve this as my 4es is doing the same thing.?
Amp/Receiver/Speaker...Newer ES I would have to agree with jttar as I have a DA4ES coupled with the BDP-S550 using the analog multi channel imputs.I'm very happy with the sound quality also Im able to enjoy my SACD player using the second set of multi channel analog inputs. My brother in law just purchased the 5400ES and comparing it with my 4ES I noticed it  doesnt have a second set of multi channel inputs.I was also thinking about upgrading but now I think Ill hold off a while and wait for a ES with maybe 9.1 ,second sub input,or plzII ect. I would recomend a blu ray as a more bang for your buck just my opinio ..
Home Theater GalleryToli's Home TheaterVery nice HT setup.
Getting Started/Buil...DA4-ES Reborn !Skytrooper,     I have to agree with jttar my DA4ES coupled with my BDP-S550 sounds great definitley worth the extra cables.
Blu-Ray/HD DVDBluray's getting stronger down under Here in Canada blu ray seems to be catching on more and more.
