I recently needed a replacement battery for a laptop and every place I check at Catalog City was the same price as from Sony . Thankfully, I remembered that I had bought an extended warranty and, wonders of wonders, they are sending me a new battery -- which costs almost the exact amount that a new battery would --but it was paid for last year! Sorry I couldn't give you more hope. | | Computers Misc. | giga pocket is it hardware or software | My answer will reveal how little I know about the slots; however, I do know that the Giga Pocket is hardware that uses the same slot as an additional internal hard drive would use. I haven't had time to figure out how it works, but met a man in a store and started chatting, etc., he uses the Giga Pocket to get his video into the computer, then edits in Adobe Premier, then uses the highest version of DVDit to make a DVD. He was checking out DVD players to see which one(s) would play his home movie. His work was outstanding!
