Also, I can see faint lines across the entire picture at all times. Any idea what can cause these symptoms? A little background; I recently had a popping sound that would cause the picture to blink. When I took the back off the TV I could see the transformer arching. I replaced the transformer which took care of the popping sound (arching) and help clear up a distorted picture.
