It is LIKE BRAND NEW and that does mean used, but as close to a new one as you will ever get. Good for you STR7ES0wner for finding one for $150.00 a few years back. Who ever sold it for that price really must have needed a quick fix for what ever they where on...LOL...I would rather take it to the grave with me before i would sell it for that cheap! I still like to pick something up and it be heavy in my hands and i say wow that is a well built unit. They (co.) should start adding some lead weight to some of there products now a days, Oh well i guess that is what the digital world is bring to us. I have owned this unit for about 8 yrs now and no reason to get rid of it now. I still have a sony strda333es that i gave to my parents and it is still kicking and used everyday. Long live the SONY ES!!!!!! |

I figure if someone wants to shoot me an offer i would rather do it here, you can still use good quality rca's, optical or coax for audio and just run hdmi from there source to the monitor for video. That's what i do, i am not a fan of running video through the receiver, but hey that's me!!! Mike |

Want to sell like new sony STRDA7ES reciever and brand new B&W 601 s3 bookshelf speakers. The speakers are as new as they get, just opened box to make sure everything was all good and tested perfectly. Speakers are black and and come with factory packaging just like you would buy at the store. I just never got the chance to use them. Paid $500 + tax for them. Make sure you have a good grounded outlet and the surge protector is ok. Try plugging the receiver directly into the wall. |

If that doesn't help i would return the receiver for full refund, then buy a new one when you get your full credit back. That way your not getting your brand unit repaired, if that is the problem. I would also try a different hdmi port on your monitor, you could have a bad hdmi port on your monitor. It could also be a bad hdmi port on your cable/sat box. Try component cables and rca or optical from your cable/sat box and see if you get the same problem. It's a process of elimination and a pain to narrow down the problem. try put .. |

Dead output stage maybe.. | jehill, it has been about a year since i had the cover off , so like i said i just replaced F901 and it blows every time i hit the power button. The other fuses all seem to be fine. I wish i knew a little more about this stuff. Well to my eyes and a magnifying glass nothing looks burnt, melted, or loose .
