| Blu-Ray/HD DVD | Sony BDP-5000ES | BIGALLEN88, it pretty much states what MAVERICK said on page 34 in the owners manual, IN FINE PRINT at the top of the page. Maverick is 100% correct and you would think all the money to purchase a bluray that they would include something so simple. Well at least there is quick start up which doesn't make it so painful. Let's hope someday there is a firmware update for netflix like there is for the PS3. That would be cool. |

| Blu-Ray/HD DVD | Sony BDP-5000ES | I will have to look in to this, I just pause it when i have to get up and do something, but i did notice that with my BDPS2000ES bluray player, which took forever to load and made it painful to watch movies. Love the BDPS5000ES player though. Very fast!! |
| Amp/Receiver/Speaker... | SONY BDPS5000ES BLURAY PLAYER | Well so far the sonyBDPS5000ES bluray player is flawless. It is quick on start up which makes it a pleasure to watch movies now. I still need to get an ethernet cable to the player for the updates, but the picture is perfect as well as the sound. I don't think it could get much better for my setup. I still have yet to try the two channel out on the player, probably because the cd sound is excellent the way i have it now. The ES player is top notch in looks and build quality, which is to be expected. Dealing with crutchfield for the order and having a five year warranty on the ES player makes .. |

Then you could move your center channel speaker on top under the great sony 52XBR9 and hide your sub where the center channel was. Just an idea. If interested i have two extra like brand new DPS-10 velodyne subs. I think they were $600.00 new. You can have one for $300.00-you pay shipping. Just an idea. System looks GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I am in cleveland ,you could even pick it up. MIKE |

The equitech balanced power system on the bottom right where the sub is sitting on top made a huge improvement in the sound, i could not beleive it. That along weighs 50lbs and that little velodyne sub weighs almost as much. There is no vibration at all with the sub sitting there. That is about all i can do with that room and conditions, until i get some money and time i will finish off the basement. I just can't beleive what balanced power made to the system, i actually have to turn the preamp 5 notches down on the volume now when watching tv. The dishnetwork optical out i .. |

I don't know maybe there is something wrong with your unit. Did you try the same movies from a different co. I don't know, I personally love the unit, but if your not happy that's all that matters. Everyone has to purchase what they feel good with. |

I feel like i should just keep it as a backup preamp or all around receiver, They just don't build them like this and i have never had , not even one problem with this unit. If it does not sell i really don't care. I would rather see it sitting on my bench next to my computer. I don't need any of the new audio formats or the hdmi switching, I should just get some bookshelves and hook it up to my computer. Is it bad to leave this just sitting around, like for the caps inside? Either way i am not listing .. |
