| Instruction and Serv... | A note about Sony service manual links | Sony Assist manuals are encrypted (protected with the user/open password) which means you cannot open them with Adobe Acrobat Reader outside Sony Assist engine in your browser. Leaving details of alternate techniques aside, I am wondering if anyone has been able to figure out the password for those files ? |

| General Questions | Cannot read mailbox | The Agoraquest system keeps popping up a window to remind me I have an unread message in my mailbox. However when I try to enter the mailbox and read the message, I get denied with a message saying something like "this is for Premium members and members with over 100 posts". Does that mean I can't read messages other people send me ? I was considering registering to premium but would like to know about this issue first. Being a premium member you can send messages to other members but if regular members (which are surely a majority) can't read them then wehre's the point ? Thanks for the a .. |
| Instruction and Serv... | A note about Sony service manual links | Does anyone know what the destination abbreviations mean in Sony service manuals. For example I often see AEP, PX, E, US, Canadian, UK, etc. I guess E would be European, US would be United States, Canadian would be Canadian but I have no idea about AEP or PX. Anyone knows ? BTW, I think that Sony Assist has hundreds of manuals/updates each month so posting one new Sony manual somewhere is a drop in the ocean.
