| Television Installat... | No posts? What do you use to hold your (heavy) son | claudio, Put as many as you like. It would be an honor. You should be able to take them straight from the site but if not let me know and I can send you some. You might want to at least include one of the stand close-ups as I know there were and I am sure will be plenty of people looking for audio stands to match the TV. And it only cost 100 bucks at IKEA. I am pretty happy with it. But what I really like is that you can't see any cables. Put a lot of work into that. |
| Television Installat... | No posts? What do you use to hold your (heavy) son | kannew01, Finally got the pictures all done. I figured that since other people might want to see I posted the pictures on my yahoo photo page. I took a few really close up pictures of the two stands so that you could see the colors. They are three different colors but I think they compliment each other very well. Just an FYI if you do consider the Ikea stand. You might want to know that I built it upside down that required a slight modification and I didn't install the wheels. http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/orlando3131/lst?.dir=/Home+Theater&.view=t [ Th .. |

| Television Misc and ... | How big is the 40XBR700 shipping box. | The box is 50" x 34" x 39" (WxDxH) hope it helps. I would like to ask one question. (Maybe none of my business.) But with the TV costing so much and knowing from experience that it is a monster to move. What would it cost to have it delivered? I can’t see it costing more then 100 to 150 dollars. It will be money well spent. Even if you could work delivery into the price. Are you also getting the stand (this is big and heavy as well) or something else? See what can happen, cause it sure can’t hurt to ask. |
| Television Misc and ... | How big is the 40XBR700 shipping box. | The Box is a monster. My wife and I keep joking about adding a wing to the local homeless shelter. I still have it in my garage so I can give you exact measurements tomorrow if no one else can. But I wouldn't even think of putting it in anyway but up. It just has styrofoam on the top and bottom. I can also tell you that the box doesn't fit through most doors. |
| Television Configura... | 40xbr remote control HELP! | I also don't use the supplied remote. I got one of those All-for-One remotes and it is the best 25 dollars I ever spent. Almost every funtion I need can be programmed in and the few that it don't I was able to learn. And I have the following stuff all working. Great I might add. Sony DVD 700P DishNetwork 4700 RCA DTC-100 Sony TV 40XBR Sony 30-ES Receiver Teac VCR (KIds Videos) |
| Television Installat... | No posts? What do you use to hold your (heavy) son | kannew01 If you like I have a digital camera and can e-mail you a picture of what it looks like. I'm not very good at attaching to forum pages and links and stuff like that. But sending an e-mail attachment I can handle. Just let me know. |
| Television Misc and ... | 40xbr700 vs. 34xbr2 | I was in exactly the same boat and decided on the 40" and have been loving it ever since. |
| Television Troublesh... | Crappy Sound on KV-40XBR700! | I've had mine since Thanksgiving weekend and my whole family loves it. Everyone that comes over can't believe how good it looks. HDTV looks amazing and DVD outstanding. Sound is really good to me as well. (Of course my opinion. But if it matters I am a professionally trained Musician. who is known by my family and friends to be very picky with these kinds of things.) |
| Television Installat... | No posts? What do you use to hold your (heavy) son | I also have the Sony Stand with the Ikea audio stand. while it doesn't match exactly it does look good together. |
| Television Misc and ... | Setup questions before the TV comes | Bill, Glad to here everything is going well. I too had that same "problem" with having to go into the tv menu everytime I put a DVD on. Well after reading in a number of places it seems the best thing to do is set the DVD player to interlaced and let the TV do the 3:2 by setting it to auto. People seem to believe that the line doubler is better on the TV then the player. I don't see a difference so it looks just as good to me and I don't have to go into the set-up menu everytime I put in a movie. |
| Television Misc and ... | Setup questions before the TV comes | Update Please. How is it going? |
| Television Installat... | 40xbr700. ns700p, and k502 | Why don't you just hook all the VCR cables directly to the TV. Then take a pair of RCA Stereo cables and hook up the TV output to the Rcvr. That way you can hear everything that is showing on your TV if you like. Also you won't have to have the Rcvr on anytime you use the VCR. Hope it helps. |
| Television Misc and ... | Setup questions before the TV comes | bstulack Just wondering if you have any update? |
| Television Misc and ... | Setup questions before the TV comes | First let me say Congrats on your purchase. I just made the same purchase two weeks ago and the family loves it. As far as Cables for this set-up I recommend the Acoustic Research Pro or Radio Shack Gold. You really don't need to spend much more then that. Accessories4less.com has good prices on line. Being from NJ you can see them at P.C. Richards or The Wiz. The Stand cost the store closer to 250.00 and it weighs 100 pounds. I've seen it on the web for about 370. I really can't remember where but shipping can cost a fortune. I was so mad cause The Wiz had an error in their .. |
