Getting Started/Buil...You can have your own IMAX home theater The ultimate in home theater.  You would have to invite more than just friends and family to make up the cost, but convert that kitchen into a hot snack bar and you might be on your way. Click here for more information.
Off-topicHow TV and the Internet melted into one worldGood question.  My experience on viewing TV content via the internet is not on a real-time basis.  All of my viewing are with previous broadcast shows that I've missed or didn't DVR at the time.  When I do experience real-time sports via the internet, (Sunday Night Football), it is provided as an additional free service for an all ready over priced cable bill. I'm finding that YouTube is a truly free on demand channel providing decent hi-def content at 720/1080p.
Camera Misc.Sony Springs Into 4K The F65 actually shoots in 8k that's rendered down to the 4k workspace.  YouTube has some   4k demo video that highlights the format.  It's not the first time the lens cost more than the body. Click here for more information and don't be surprised when prosumer versions start to show up before the end of this year.  Should be a boon for memory card manufacturers.
Off-topicHow TV and the Internet melted into one world It has definitely changed my viewing habits.  Click here for more information.
Television Misc and ...SEIKI SE50UY04 50-in 4K 3840x2160 Review I guess that 1080p/60" plasma is going to have to wait.  TV technology now has the life span of a Krispy Kreme donut.  8K should be available next year this time.   Click here for that review.
Off-topicToday is Record Store Day Whatever “record” means to you — LP, EP, CD, 45 — support your local independent shop by buying a stack. Click here for more information.
Television Misc and ...TV for the Ages: The Philco Predicta Not too bad for a 50+ years run.  Things are heating up in TV land with plasma's going out and OLED w/4k coming in. Click here for more information.  Could that flat cable be just a little bit longer ?
Television Misc and ...50-inch 4K TV on sale for $1,299 Wow. That didn't take long. Even though 50" would not do justice for 4k, you got to love the competition.  Click here for more information.
Off-topicBroadcasters Worry About 'Zero TV' Homes To be quite honest, I'm surprised by the quality of HD content on the internet.  Never thought I could watch all the PBS/Nova series that I missed thru the years via YouTube. Click here for more information.
Television Misc and ...Sony Bravia XBR-84X900 3D LCD Ultra HDTV Click here for the review.
Off-topicBest Buy and Target end Geek Squad experiment Amen.  Can't really say that I'm sorry to see them go, as some of my first customers for my pc repair business came from them.  Click here for more information.
Amp/Receiver/Speaker...The "mad scientist" of Sony audio Keeping the noise out cannot be understated.  Click here for more information.
Television Misc and ...Panasonic Tipped To Exit The Plasma TV Market Just a matter of time before Samsung and LG follow suit.  Everyone getting ready for 4K OLED panels.  Click here for more information.

Computers Misc. How many pixels are too many ? More is better, except when it’s not.  This might apply for small screens, but how about large ?  Click here for more is less.
Television Misc and ...Pirated TV: How it works I don't know/care how to pirate TV programs, but I do know how "copyright infringement" can get your YouTube channel shut down and a threatening letter from the cable company.   Click here for more information.
Television Misc and ...Sony XBR-84X900 Ultra HD TV Review The same thing was said about 720p vs. 1080p in terms of not being able to tell the difference until you were in that sweet spot.  Click here for the review.
Camera Misc.Sony NEX 3N Hands-on Preview Nice entry level inter-changable lens, mirrorless camera.  Click here for more information.
