Off-topicSPCOOLIN - Steve PoolerThanks everyone - Steve spent a good portion of a part of his life here discussing Sony and electronics and electrical... He loved to share and teach and he had his own strong opinions about things... But in the end he had a heart of gold and just wanted to help get whatever this issue was, solved the right way. His home theater was his joy beyond the aforementioned teaching and debating of almost any mechanical or electrical topic. He will be missed, not just by his family and friends but by all who had an opportunity to learn something new from him.
Off-topicSPCOOLIN - Steve PoolerSteve Pooler, my brother was a long time contributor to this forum.  He loved to talk shop about electronics and home audio.  I am sure many of you recognize the handle and may have been helped by him at one time or another with your questions about these subjects.   Steve passed away at the age of 53 in his home on February 13, 2012. His home theater system was powered up and running. In recent years Steve spent more time on his own Forum which dealt with his primary profession of Marine Air Conditioning but he told me that he would check in here from time to ..
Amp/Receiver/Speaker...Old Member Selling B&K 4430 3 Channel AMP Hello Again AgoraQuesters! Just an update to let everyone know this Amplifier has been listed on eBay in my eBay Store. (should I move this thread somewhere else?) In any case, the listing is here: B&K Reference 4430 Go ahead and make an offer in eBay or send me an eMail.... Thanks! Scott [addsig]
Amp/Receiver/Speaker...Old Member Selling B&K 4430 3 Channel AMP Hey Maxx,   This Amp I have for sale is not my main B&K... It is the first one I bought and I liked it so much, I bought the 7 channel version.   The 7 channel monster is still integrated in my system and the 3 channel Reference 4430 has been standing by, waiting for the day when I could go full 7.1.  (The original plan was to bi-amp all three front speakers).  That day has not come and I hate to see this nice piece of electronics go unused any longer.   Thanks for remembering me!  ..
Amp/Receiver/Speaker...Old Member Selling B&K 4430 3 Channel AMP Hey Guys & Gals, This is Scott, an old member here who posts very little these days... My brother Steve is SPCoolin and I am sure you have heard of him. I am selling the following nice 3 Channel amplifier and thought the folks here might like the first chance at a solid clean 200 watt per channel powerhouse. I have just seen the same AMP listed on AudioGon for $700.00 and I am sure this one is in pristine condition.  We ship difficult items all the time, so don't worry about getting it to you and no gouging on the packaging. ..
Amp/Receiver/Speaker...Navmaster Back - Short Post Hello - New Wish List.Greetings Agorarites.... Yes I have been absent for many years too long.... Kids and business and the ravages of time and place... Sorry to have left you all to ruminate amongst yourself without my sage advise and guidance (or just general BS). My brother has enough BS for both of us, I thought... So who would miss little ole me? Well, I found my password and logged in... Poof here I am! Fancy new diggs you have here, full html editor and the whole shooting works.... Bet you we can even display photos and everything now.  Wish my eBay software AuctionLogic had such a nice editor ..
Amp/Receiver/Speaker...DA5ES and DA4ES pics ... BTW, these are mineI resemble that remark Steve! My DA5ES sounds much better than the DA4 and I did not use the internal amplifiers in either unit for long. But I suppose these debates will go on as long as people still purchase and use these units. I consider the DA5ES the better sounding pre-pro but I still use my DA4ES in the bedroom.  I don't think I will be selling either very soon. Good luck with the debate! [addsig]
Amp/Receiver/Speaker...Happy Birthday SPCOOLINSteve is.... Older than 39.... But then, so am I.... Sorry Guys....[addsig]

Amp/Receiver/Speaker...Happy Birthday SPCOOLINHAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE! As your little brother and official lifelong antagonist/instigator I thought I would announce your birthday anniversary to the Agoroquest masses. Knowing as I do that you prefer little or no fuss be made over this re-occurring and somewhat embarrassing event, I assumed this would be the appropriate place to follow your wishes and tell no one whatsoever that you were ever born. Ooops, guess I let the cat out of the bag!... Unfortunately we all have these anniversaries each and every year... and if your little brother cannot embarrass you by annou ..

Amp/Receiver/Speaker...Change display brightness on STR-DA5ESOOops Toli, The DA4 will adjust down to 25% in the specialized menu, AND it will go down to 0% with the regular dimmer switch.... Geez, we can't remember anything these days, huh Steve? Anyway, I don't think the DA5 can do 0%.... 25% should be sufficient, it has been fine for moi.... [addsig]

I still have my DA7ES and they are very similiar in most respects, and that they are the same with respect to the dimmer function. While adjusting the dimmer, scroll all the ..

Amp/Receiver/Speaker...It's Official...I just added another ampCongrats Bro.... Sorry I couldn't hang to hear it after calibration but if you are like me I am sure you needed the "me" time to play with your new toy. All I heard was powerful! And the surrounds really caught my ear with that Steely Dan tune you were playing when I left.... Glad I could help you to listen to the beast rather than ogle it with your camera... Always better to hear an amplifier than it is to look at one... Don't you think? I think you really have to think hard about some sort of entertainment center changes though.... With ..
