Television Misc and ...Just bought a 50" LCDProbably it will not affect your Grand Wega, but if you put the centre speaker on top of a CRT TV, colour on the TV tube will change. I think Sony got most units pulled before they got out in the market (at least in Canada).
Television Misc and ...Just bought a 50" LCDCheck your HT6600DP, there is a recent recall on this model, where the speakers are not properly magnetically shielded.
Television Misc and ...What Model will replace the KF50XBR800?KDE50XBR950 and KF50WE610
Television Misc and ...34XBR910 is finally here! Quote: On 2003-08-21 18:01, avermeer wrote: Just a note, there is no such thing as an "XBR picture tube." It's the same tube as the 510 which is why both TVs have the same warranty on the tube - 2 years. The difference with the XBR line is that in the case of the 800 vs the 510, the 800 has DRC VI and the 510 just has DRC. Also, XBRs have a two year warranty on everything else, other parts, labor. The 510 has a two year on the tube (again, same tube) 1 year on other parts, and 90 days (*cough* RIPOFF *cough*) on labor. So, on the ..
Television Misc and ...New RPTV Models Coming?New KP57WV600 and KP65WV600 just came out. New 46" coming out in the fall, as well as the 42" grand wega. [ This message was edited by: Insider on 2003-05-10 06:01 ]
Television Troublesh...Brand new Sony KP57WV600 57 BIG PROBLEMS please HEProblem will not be self corrected. Think positive, you can have a technician come in and calibrate the set for you without having to tweat it yourself! However, you can ask for a replacement if you are still not comfortable with this set.
Television Troublesh...Brand new Sony KP57WV600 57 BIG PROBLEMS please HEI had the same problem but what happened was that one of the gun got misaligned during delivery and that would cause the auto shut down and the blue screen. All it needs is a service tech to come in and do a manual adjustment on the gun. seems like it is a fairly common problem, especially if you have to tilt the PJ to bring it upstairs or downstairs.
DVDDAV-S300 Amp Problem...Try to switch around one of the speakers and the speaker wires to see if the same happens. It might be the wire or the speaker instead of the amp.
Television Troublesh...Blue Screen of DeathSounds very much like one of the CRT gun is misaligned. You need to call for service to have the gun realigned by a technican. Same thing happened to mine.
Television Troublesh...Blue Screen of DeathAny blinking pattern when TV is on standby mode?
DVDA/V pass.........A/V pass is useful if you have limited input on your TV. This way you could connect your VCR to the A/V pass, and not the other way around because of Macrovision.
Television Troublesh...Timer light flashes 5 times - KP43 HT20I'm not too sure. When I got my KP46WT500 delivered I got the 6 blinking light pattern (high voltage error) after 2 hours of watching. Technican came and fix the alignment of the blue gun and it works perfectly since. When you got your TV delivered if you have to take it upstairs or downstairs then you have to tilt the TV and there is a great chance that it has something to do with the misalignment of the gun. Look at it this way, if you get a technican in you can also ask him to do a calibration on your set. This way you get a TV professionally calibrated thru the service ..
Television Troublesh...Timer light flashes 5 times - KP43 HT20Blinking 5 times means white balance failure. Probable cause location is video out is faulty, CRT drive is faulty (A board) or G2 is improperly adjusted. Since you mentioned that this is a new TV I have a suspusion that one of the gun is misaligned during the move. It's just a simple case of getting the technican in to do a realignment. This happens to my KP46WT500.
Television Misc and ...Do you have a KP-46WT500?I have one for 2 months now and am extremely happy with it. As far as I know there is no incidence of flickering reported on this model. Some people mentioned that picture is grainy, but I do not have this problem (I have regular analog cable though and sit 12 feet away from the TV). DVD picture quality is simply stunning.
DVDHelp !! Discs will not come out of playerI had the same problem with my DAVC700 a while back. Had to take unit back for service. They had to reset the release mechanism on the unit but did not have to replace any parts.
DVDIn need of Sony Dream System DAV-C700 ManualGive me your email address and I will send you a copy.
Television Troublesh...Sony DAV-C770 & KV34XBR800 - Remote IssueIf you find out please let me know. I believethe remote can only control DVD functions only and not others (not power on/off) as the DAV is not a DVD player. The code for Sony receiver does not quite work either.
Television Misc and ...Whats the difference? If you are already happy with the picture quality, I would say no. Scrolling index with give you a scrolling index of each channel so you do not need to channel surf to see what's on.
Television Misc and ...Sony trinitronMonitor out lets you record the program you are watching to a VCR. It is just the same as video out.
Television Troublesh...57wv700 standby blinks 7 times7 blinks mean horizontal deflection stopped. Service is required. When I got my brand new KP46WT500, I got 8 blinks and auto shut off. When the technician came, I was told that one of the gun was out of alignment and it would cause the error. I hope that the cause of shut down in your case is something simple as well. If you are getting a service guy in, you can also ask him if he can do a calibration on the set for you.
