| Amp/Receiver/Speaker... | Power line conditioner question | Hey everybody, right now I'm running a pretty decent set up and wanted to look into geting a power line conditioner. I don't have an absorbant amount of money, and would prefer to keep the cost to a minimum. Does anybody have any suggestions about what I should look into and what it might cost? Right now I'm running a 27FV300 TV, DA3000ES receiver, Nintendo Gamecube, Playstation 2, a cheap VCR, nC615B DVD player. any suggestions would be a great help |
| Amp/Receiver/Speaker... | Is there a way to play one video source with a dif | I currently own the Sony 3000ES, incredable system if only it was louder but the sound is incredably clean no hissing problems, and its about 2-3 months old now. I was wondering if anybody could help me out. I was curious if there was some way I could get a video source from say my gamecube to play, with maybe a cd comming from my dvd player. I have everything hooked up into the reciever and would prefer not to have to pull apart the wires and either run them into a video or game selector or run simply the video up to the tv since I can try and enjoy the S-video upgrade. does anybody have any .. |
| Amp/Receiver/Speaker... | STR-DA3000ES | I just got the 3000ES so far very pleased I haven't even begun to mess with all the different controls but it sounds really incredable comming through only complaint is slight lack of volume comming through but it's not too bad. |
| Amp/Receiver/Speaker... | Recievers what would you pick and why 3000ES or th | Bumping up this topic sounds like my advice has been either the 4es for around 400-500 or the 5000ES for somewhere around 800-900 more then likely what does everybody think I should go for? |
| Amp/Receiver/Speaker... | Recievers what would you pick and why 3000ES or th | thanks for the advice maxx I think I might go to tweeter tomorrow and see if I can work out some sort of deal assuming that the order hasn't gone through and the unit been shipped to me yet. I'm not too worried about anything happening to the unit I have responsible people around and always keep an eye on my stuff here. also with the warrenty and my brother working for sony most stuff should easily be fixed. I'm looking ot have a system that will be really good for years to come. or at least the next 5-10 so that's why I was considering the new ES line of recievers. |
| Amp/Receiver/Speaker... | Recievers what would you pick and why 3000ES or th | Basically I live in a fraternity hallway with my brothers when we have parties I usually crank the stuff up so volume is a big factor. do you think it's a better idea for me to go with the 4es for around 400-500 or the 5000es for somewhere around 800-900 I believe. I'm into good quality but sometimes it's nice to crank it up pretty much to rediculous levels what is everybodys take on this situation? |
| Amp/Receiver/Speaker... | Recievers what would you pick and why 3000ES or th | also I guess as an option the tweeter near me has one DA4ES for listed around 450 which I can probably talk down to 400 would that simply just be a better bet for bang for the buck? any suggestions vs the 5000 for around 800 or so? |
| Amp/Receiver/Speaker... | Recievers what would you pick and why 3000ES or th | I think I might take your advice Maxx and just go with the 5000, I'll be looking at more like 800 then 600 or so for a reciever but I think that's not too bad considering the reviews I've been hearing. I've had the chance to listen to both and the 5000 just definatly seems to have a slightly nicer tone to it as well as simply more volume. as for my speakers I have for a center channel I have a CSI30 it's running 8 Ohms with a sensitivity I believe at 90db. for rears I'm running the FXi30s with 8ohm impedance and 89db sensitivity. fronts I have some bose 601 which I think are 4-8 ohms with a co .. |
| Amp/Receiver/Speaker... | Recievers what would you pick and why 3000ES or th | I was looking into the new recievers and have been hearing some bad things about the 3000 so far. it sounds really nice but not quiet as loud, I have a family memeber that can get me the 3000ES for somewhere around 582 or so and probably the 5000 for like $300 more which do you all think I should go for? |
| Amp/Receiver/Speaker... | Banana plug brands | thanks for your help I was thinking about the monster plugs but that only depends on what I can get them for |
| Amp/Receiver/Speaker... | Banana plug brands | I'm looking into picking up some Banana plugs for my system and I was wondering what brand would be the best to get I'm a college student so money is a factor does anybody have some suggestions or does it not really matter all that much? |
| Amp/Receiver/Speaker... | question about reciever | yeah hopefully it'll be here soon went out and bought a temp model 30 days to return it, what's the best way to check for a burned out fuse? |
| Amp/Receiver/Speaker... | question about reciever | it's a Kenwood, VR-505, it's from a home thearter in a box set I got 2 years ago. I'm still waiting for my DA3000ES to come in. there's no protect message. but it seems like it might be trying to go into some sorta protect mode. but it wont switch back to stand by. |
| Amp/Receiver/Speaker... | question about reciever | I had a question. my reciever seemed really hot and now just seems to keep clicking and not turning on did somebody kill it or what can I do for it? |
| Amp/Receiver/Speaker... | New ES Receivers at Crutchfield. | anybody know what Oade is selling the 3000ES for? |
