Well I went to look at one at Sears. I did not like the picture it looked grainy. So I thought it may have been because it was not set up correctly, so I went to Tweeter Etc. and the picture was still grainy. I gave it a third chance and went to Circuit City but the picture was still grainy. I guss I will have to look at anotherTV.
I have the same DVD player. I looked for the warranty info but could not find it. I believe it is for 2 years the same as all of their componets. [ This message was edited by: FAiello on 2002-01-10 22:18 ]
Check with Sony, but I believe you can change the coax input so that the DVD/LD is for your TV/SAT, and use an optical connection for the DVD player. I have not done this on my STR-DE1075 and I do not remember seeing it in the manual. But I do remember seeing it in my old STR-DE945 manual.
What is the problem with the picture quality? Have you tried to ajust it with the TV's menu? I have the KV-32FV16 with the dish networks 4900 receiver and the picture is wonderful. I also have the receiver connected to the TV with S-video cable, and the DVD connected with componet video. The sound on the FV series TV is very good, but if you are going to get a DVD player invest into a surround sound system. Look at Cambridge Sound Works (www.hifi.com) great prouducts and great prices. Also Sears for a great price on a DD,DTS Sony Reciever they match any internet price except e-bay.
