| Television Troubleshooting | KDSR60XBR1 Optical Block Disassembly Turned Up Something Strange | CountryWalker | 24 | 2012-01-23 00:52 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I have been researching for weeks looking for pictures of anyone who has disassembled a KDSR60XBR1 optical block. I turned up zero results and decided to open my own up and take a look around. The reason i'm doing this is because i had the greenish yellowing tint on my entire picture but no blobs. After doing some research i learned that a lens is probably burned and i would need to get the block rebuilt. I looked at each lens and they all look fine. That's when i noticed an empty slot in the block that looks like it is supposed to house another lens (see photo with arrow). |

| First 650 characters of this post | HiI bought this TV KDS-R50XBR1 (Sony 50" SXRD projection TV) in 2006 around Feb. Couple of days back, when I was playing something, it went off. When I turn it on, it doesn't turn on.Instead I see power/standby LED keep blinking RED 6 times; pause and repeat it. I unplugged power ans started it after a day. No difference. This web site seems like a great resource with lot of useful info. I am wondering what my options are. With Googling, I found that 6 blinks means OCP/OVP issue on GT Board. I don't know what the fix is.Can someone point me if it is some |

| Television Troubleshooting | Pureglare replacement lamp module – any good? | alexcomp | 5 | 2011-08-10 14:20 |
| First 650 characters of this post | The knowledgeable request to my thread on my Sony KDS – R60XBR1, (http://www.agoraquest.com/viewtopic.php?topic=39169&forum=34, suggested that my problem might be solved by replacing my projector lamp. Sounds good but this of course leads to another question:The Internet vendor that I often use, buy.com, has the correct projector lamp module including housing for less than $70. It is manufactured by pure glare. Another website vending lamps manufactured by Osram or Sy |
| Television Troubleshooting | Sony KDSR60XBR1 standby light blinks 3 times | sandman989 | 23 | 2011-07-09 22:27 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I thought that the THREE Blinks---B+ over voltage protection (OVP), unit goes to the standby
mode then displays the 3 blink fault. This is also a problem in the power
supply circuit, check T603 and R672.
I am having the same problem with my KDSR60XBR1 Sony TV. The system boots up and the screen comes on for 1 sec and then shuts down...flashing the 3 GREEN code.

| First 650 characters of this post | Hay guys.I have narrowed a 3 RED BLINK sequence error code down to the Lamp Housing Sensor Switch (Lamp Plug Connection Sensor switch) in my KDS-R50XBR1. Where is a good place to purchase this switch.I called several parts supply places today and could not find any competent customer service help that could find the the switch on a schematic or a part number. That includes SONY PARTS AND ACCESSORIES where their customer support has been outsourced to anoth |

| Television Troubleshooting | KDL-52XBR9 3/6 blinking lights | info2x | 14 | 2010-11-02 01:09 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I got the official estimate this morning.$2443.92 to repair the TV, I paid 2300 for the TV and a blu-ray player, so repairing makes about 0 sense.Faxed all the documents to SONY per their directions and then waited. I got a call about 3 hours later (yay for being quick). I was quickly disappointed though. They said they won't help me with the repair and won't give me a new TV (not that I really expected a new TV). They instead offered me a refurbished Bravia KDL55EX710 for 1375 +Tax (current 2k new from SONY), I pick up 3" but lose my 240hz refresh, but gain LED edge l |
