| Television Troubleshooting | KDF70XBR950 Blinking Green After New Optical Block | wizzleteets | 11 | 2013-05-22 22:48 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I have a Sony KDF70XBR950 that had a failed optical block. I had the optical block repaired professionally and reinstalled it. When I turn the TV on, the green power/standby light flashes about once per second indefinitely. I have uninstalled/reinstalled and checked all connections again, but it is still doing the same thing. All the fans power up, but the bulb never comes on. I went ahead and replaced the bulb but it didn't change anything. Sorry if this has already been covered, but I've read so many different threads I can't tell up from down. & |

So this is related to IC8002 and IC8501.So after reading a lot online I swapped the ICs from brand n |

Now the question I have is, don't I need to remove the transistors to be able to check for resistance? No. We are looking for a short circuit in both directions. That means use the lowest resistance range on your multi-meter, for example, 10 ohms. There is a short if the resistance is less than 1 ohm. | First 650 characters of this post | Thanks for the reply! Well, like I said the guy I got it from is by no means a appliance repair man, so that was just his guess. There doesn\'t seem to be any visual signs of overheating where the lamp assembly is inserted into the set, so maybe we can assume a fan replacement is unnecessary.
I\'m leaning towards purchasing a new lamp. jehill, you mentioned purchasing a genuine Sony replacement lamp assembly priced at 227Euro. What am I accomplishing by doing this? The lamps I\'ve looked at are from $35-$200 and they include the lamp housing. I\'m assuming I\'m purchasing quality, an |
