| First 650 characters of this post | I recently started having issues with my KDF46E2000 (yellowish band near the top), and called Sony about it and they offered to replace the TV with a 46" Bravia S series for $400 CDN (which I took them up on their offer for). When I asked what to do with the old TV, they said I could dispose of it or do whatever I wished to with it. However, yesterday the old set also started to shutdown and power light started blinking in 3 blink intervals (on top of the yellow band at the top of the screen.) I was watching a movie and TV suddendly turned off by itself and then when I try to turn it on, LED light blinks 5 times and doesn't turn on. Its strange because last time when I had 9 blinking issue, LED light keeps on blinking with short rest after 9 blinks until I turn it off but this time after 5 blinks it turns itself automatically. A few small pieces of bulb glass actually came out of the chassis molding when I removed it. I had changed the lamp about 1yr ago and got it to work like new. My fix was to replace the bulb, following the instructions in the owners manual and using Sony's parts/replacements/service website, searching on the model number of the TV itself (NOT the bulb part number). I have a KDF50WE655. It turns on fine, but after about 30 or 40 seconds, the LCD lamp goes out and the power/standby light blinks green. It blinks exactly 29 times before the lamp comes back on with the 30th blink. The power/standby light blinks another 7 times before going to solid green. After about 30 or 40 seconds the sequence repeats exactly the same. |

About 30 seconds later the picture comes back on and the sound follows it about 10 seconds back on as well. This is a constant process that keeps happening 1 minute on and 30 seconds off.
