| Television Troubleshooting | KV-35S66 No picture, No sound, continuous blinking standby light | BPop | 1 | 2009-09-14 16:28 |
| First 650 characters of this post | The model on my Sony Trinitron is KV-35S66. It was manufactured in 1999. The TV was working one morning and then just shut down. No indication or degradation of picture leading up the shut down. I have come to understand the blinking sequence to correlate to an error message of "No reply from the jungle IC301 (data bus is busy, shorted to ground, or held high), IK video path is defective.", but I'm not sure how to troubleshoot from there. I have taken off the back of the casing and cleaned up as much dust as a could and did a cursory c |
| Television Troubleshooting | Sony KV28CL10U 5 blink code | coolpran | 4 | 2009-05-17 06:26 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I am getting the 5 blink code on my Sony Trinitron KV28CL10U. I read in the FAQ that it was a problem with something called AKB circuit. Can this be repaired? If yes, what is the approximate cost? I live in England, if that makes it any cheaper. Also I am not able to get to the service menu. I tried the following1. Turn TV on from the mains 2. Turn on using power On/Off button on the TV3. Turn on using the power on/off (no.1 in the attached picture)button on the remote4. Wait for the TV to show 5 blinking light5. | First 650 characters of this post | I have a 7-year old Sony Trinitron TV (Model 36XBR400). I originally had the problem of the TV not powering on with 4 or 7 red light blinks on the front. After reading some of the posts here with the same problem, I decided to replace IC8002 and IC6501 on the D board. I also installed sockets for these ICs as well. After replacing those components, the TV seemed to be working fine for about an hour and a half. After that, the picture went out while I was watching it. Now, I have sound and no picture (with no blinking red light). This al |

| First 650 characters of this post | I have the typical problem with the Trinitron TV not showing any picture whatsoever and simply having a blinking standby light (with no discernible pattern that might indicate some sort of trouble code).Another user asked about this same condition and Ra suggested the following:you may have a bad flyback transformer, try to resolder it\'s pins and also resolder the hot,and drive tranformer t501,and all around the hv circuit, and resolder vert IC tda8172 and r536 .47ohms, also turn up g2 on the back of the fly if you get the pic with retrace lines check |

| Television Misc and News | Sony KV-32FS13 5-blink prob, picture flashes unless color temp set to "warm"! | jki69 | 2 | 2007-05-08 09:45 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I have a strange problem that just developed with my Sony KV-32FS13 Trinitron: the audio stays fine, but the picture blanks out to black for a second or two every couple of seconds, and then comes back.
the front timer/standby light blinks five times, pauses, and starts blinking again. This blinking does not stop no matter what I do, turn the TV off, unplug it for a couple of hours, etc.
The very strange thing is that if I change the picture mode(?) to MOVIE, which has a color temp of WARM, the flashing stops, and the video picture works fine. If I switch to VIVID, SPORTS, |

| First 650 characters of this post | Ok, I\'m new here but I couldn\'t find the help I needed searching the forums so... I have a Sony Trinitron TV Model no. KV-32V68 Chassis AA-2D that I acquired. It worked great for about a month when I turned it on the next time it came up with a distorted video, no matter what source (DVD Player, Playstation, cable, etc.) It was kind of white lines with no audio, but the menu worked fine and the PiP worked fine. I\'ve been messing with it now and took it apart and tapped on the tube as someone suggested and now I have a red scrolling picture with green lines in it and the sound works. It\ |
| Television Troubleshooting | 1989 KV-27ts20 won't stop blinking "VIDEO" | sonysunroom | 1 | 2006-11-26 04:20 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I have a room full of Sony Home Theater equipment and a sony handycam making up my Sony products. Currently, I am still using a 1989 KV-27TS20 Trinitron as my main Television. For years, the tuner has been bad, which I don\'t really care about. To get around that, I just use my VCR as my tuner, which is fine, except for THIS PROBLEM:
No matter what I do, it intermittently displays the text \"Video\" in green letters (the color that all of the display letters are in) in the top right hand corner of the screen. I\'ve lived with this for years now, so it\'s not killing me, but it\'s beco |
| Television Troubleshooting | Sony Blinking Codes | ELJ | 2 | 2006-02-19 07:16 |
| First 650 characters of this post | Hi there-
Let me preface this with saying I have no television technical knowledge so if you respond, please be very basic.
I was watching TV yesterday and out of nowhere my TV made a cracking noise and the picture and sound disappeared and then turned off. When I tried to turn it back on, the Standby/Time light would just blink.
I did some research on this site and I realize that \'blinking\' is trying to tell me something, but I don\'t know what.
From what I can tell, it blinks 6 times when I turn it on...then two long blinks a few seconds after.

I had my D-board replaced and now I have a blurry picture. The tech came back and said that the EPPROM chip is not part of the d-board which was replaced. He said that the epprom is on another part of the set. He played with the adjustments but was unable to correct the problem and now claims it has nothing to do with my D-board, that\'s when I hit the roof. The new problem is that the side edges of the screen are slightly blurry for the first |

| Television Troubleshooting | Flashing Picture...........Sony Trinitron 32" KV-32S25 | lordsereg | 10 | 2004-04-30 13:52 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I have a 32\" Sony Trinitron TV Model # KV-32S25 (1996). Recently it started to take a while for the picture to come on but you can here the sound right away. Now it usually takes anywhere form 5 - 10 minutes before you see the picture. Unfortunately you only see the picture for about a minute before it starts flashing/blinking on and off. This is now a regular occurance when the TV is shut off and then turned back on. It is also taking longer for the picture to come on and the duration of the picture flashing/blinking is getting longer too |
| DVD | Blinking Video from S-Video port | mjbanak | 5 | 2004-02-11 14:46 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I have a Sony Trinitron 100hz TV I bought in Germany, that plays back NTSC signals. I have had an American Pioneer DVD player running perfect for about 3 years through the s-video port. I just bought the Sony DVP-NC665P DVD player and hooked it up also through the S-video port. Now, I get a constant blinking screen when I turn on my DVD player. It blinks constantly between a color screen then a B/W screen. Funny thing is, is that video-3 input of the TV whicj I use, accepts an S-video connection and a composite connection, and if I run a yellow video composite cab |
