Keyword Tips If you are search for "50we610 blinking" try "we610 blinking". If you search for "5 blinking" try "five blinking". If you search for "Sony KDF-55wf655" try "55wf655" or better yet "wf655". Try searching with general search term first and then add more specific keywords to narrow it down.

Recommended after display the search results. I would open the links in a new window. Read the postings and when done close the window. And open the next posting that you want to read in a new window, close that window and repeat. This is probably the most efficient way.

Also, try the new Google Search which searches the entire Agoraquest website. Click here

For Televisions issues, red/green blinking lights, vertical lines, D Board, Lamp Driver and more.
I would vist our "Frequently Asked Questions for Sony Products" forum and read the "Television Trouble Shooting Information Packages" thread. There are several service bulletin packages that can help resolve those issues.
For Televisions issues with blue, green, optical block, extending warranty or other related issues
I would visit our new Sony Alert/Warranty recall section at Sony Recall/Warranty Section

Television TroubleshootingXBR55HX929 Blinking led 5 times got info from diagnostics screenMr_Mod22013-05-16 23:17
First 650 characters of this post5 flashes for that model indicates that the TCON board is faulty. 5X Blink - TCON Error The 5X blink protection mode indicates a communications error between the TCON Board and the X-Reality microprocessor on the Main Board. If the TCON is available for replacement, replace the TCON. If the TCON is not available, the LCD panel must be replaced since the TCON circuit is part of the LCD panel assembly. In rare cases a loose or defective LVDS cable could also be the cause. There is no TCON board listed as a spare part There is no LCD panel listed as a spare part. I wo

First 650 characters of this post Welcome to Agoraquest!  Your are right, service manuals don\'t tell you how to troubleshoot equipment.  It is assumed that the reader is a qualified service technician, meaning that he/she has completed the necessary training.  I looked up the KDL-46V3000 in the LCD Service Manual and found that the LCD panel includes a TCON board.  In at least one instance, a member found a blow fuse there, that when replaced restored operation.  You might check and see if such a fuse exists in your set.P.S. I am not a qualified service technician.
    Television TroubleshootingMBT-MR1C VS MBT-MRL1 FIRMWARE NEEDED....will pay. mbt_junkyard152013-04-14 10:15
First 650 characters of this postThis problem is mostly caused by a defective relay in the display unit, which would be a LDM-3000 in your set.At the G-board (power supply) there is relay RY6001 which can cause this trouble. The Sony partnumber for this relay is 1-755-493-11. (Please be aware that relay RY6000 on the G-board looks the same, but has a different coil voltage. The relay you need must be for 5VDC coil voltage.)When you remove the G-board it could be sticked to the chassis due to the thermal pad which is applied. You can use aa little force to remove the board, but make sure you remove

First 650 characters of this post For the KDL46HX820, 4 blinks, pause, 4 blinks, etc. of the red standby light means that there is a problem with the LCD Panel.  If the blinks do not repeat, you are not seeing and error code.  The LCD Panel includes the TCON board, which may have a fuse on it that has blown.  I would check that out.
Television TroubleshootingKDL52W3000 no power, no lights, no codesmbt_junkyard112013-03-21 11:37
First 650 characters of this postCurrently the TV does not give any indication of the standby-LED when you plug in the set and push the power button? If so, you can connect your Fluke 12 (I used the same one for many years during in-home service) to measure the voltage on pin 4 of connector CN6154 on the G2-board with respect to ground. This pin is marked with \"STDB5V\".Could you confirm there is a permanent 5 Volt reading during the time that the set is plugged in?I\'ve found the Service Manual on www.elektrotanya.com, but because downloading fr

First 650 characters of this postFor the KDL46XBR9,13 blinks, pause, 13 blinks, etc. of the red standby light means \"Balancer\" and the possible locations listed are as follows: LCD Panel, D1N Board (inverter) and D2N Board (inverter)14 blinks, pause, 14 blinks, etc. of the red standby light means \"TCON Err\" and the possible location listed is \"LCD Panel\".These are the starting points for a qualified service technician.  If the 14 blinks code repeats, that\'s the code that I would go with.  The TCON board is attached to the rear of the LCD and MAY have a fuse on it.  I would look for th

First 650 characters of this postI think that resoldering the pins of the audio amplifier IC201 and the pins of the SCART-connector (J401) will solve the problem. Another possibility is a defective headphone connector J2201. I uploaded the schematic diagram of the TV here.[ This message was edited by: mbt_junkyard on 2013-02-20 06:45 ]
    Television TroubleshootingKDF-50e2010 won't turn on after service menumbt_junkyard62013-02-19 13:40
First 650 characters of this postI think that you put the settings for the fan speed such low that they don't rotate any more, which is detected by the microprocessor which switches off the set then. The first 8 or so blinks are the "normal" blinks during the startup phase, when the lamp is ignited. But now the error signal of the (not rotating) fans will instruct the microprocessor to shut down. If you are able to take some voltage measurement readings with a multimeter, I can guide you to "trick" the microprocessor so that the set stays on, even with no fan rotation detected. Can you indicate i

First 650 characters of this postWhen turned on I get vertical lines on the right side, horizontal light lines across whole screen. Also have a humming noise. Leave set on for 10 minutes, turn off and then on right away and its fine. Read about TCON board, but for different series of tv. Any help is appreciated. If its a TCON, easy to do? Whats it cost?
Television TroubleshootingService mode On KDF-E50A12Umbt_junkyard62013-02-05 06:47
First 650 characters of this postI think we have a different Service Manual then, as my manual 9-927-517-02 (which says to be the service manual for models KDF-E42A12U and KDF-E50A12U, both for destination UK) clearly states the sequence "i+", "5", "VOL+", "TV". Do you have a remote control of type RM-ED002 ? The key sequence is visualized here.Did you start by putting the TV in standby mode (this is when the red light on the front is on) before start entering the key sequence?
