| First 650 characters of this post | I've got a Sony KV-24FV12 that croaked the other day. When turned on (with remote or front panel), a rapid succession of clicks (7 or 8) can be heard then after a few seconds of normal standby LED blinking it will power off. There's never a picture or sound, and I've left it unplugged for several hours with no change. I get blink codes from the standby light after it powers off. Usually it blinks four times first, then repeats five blinks indefinitely. I presume this means I have code 4 and 5 in succession. Sometimes I'll just |

| Television Misc and News | Sony KV-32FS13 5-blink prob, picture flashes unless color temp set to "warm"! | jki69 | 2 | 2007-05-08 09:45 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I have a strange problem that just developed with my Sony KV-32FS13 Trinitron: the audio stays fine, but the picture blanks out to black for a second or two every couple of seconds, and then comes back.
the front timer/standby light blinks five times, pauses, and starts blinking again. This blinking does not stop no matter what I do, turn the TV off, unplug it for a couple of hours, etc.
The very strange thing is that if I change the picture mode(?) to MOVIE, which has a color temp of WARM, the flashing stops, and the video picture works fine. If I switch to VIVID, SPORTS, |

| First 650 characters of this post | Welcome to Agoraquest! Is it the STANDBY/POWER LED that blinks four times? If so, that indicates, \"Fan stopped\". The probable causes listed are as follows?1) Fan 1-4 power is not supplied (AGU board)2) Fan connector is not attached securely.3) Fan caught wires or harnesses. There are at least two fans in the set. Are you sure that you have the number of blinks correct? Is the LAMP LED on or blinking? If you live in the US, you may purchase board part number A1113732A $124.21 |

| First 650 characters of this post | Hello, when the screen becomes entirely green (or red or blue) and the TV shuts off with a blinking standby-LED, the cause will be an internal short between one of the cathodes and the heater of the picture tube.To cure this, the picture tube has to be replaced. Due to the high cost, this is seldom done for a set of this age.So far the bad news: There is an unofficial workaround which can be tried. Because the heather circuit is connected to ground, in case of heather/cathode short the cathode will be grounded too. This causes excessive beam current in t |
