| First 650 characters of this post | I am the proud owner of a Sony MDP-605 LaserDisc player .... and IT WORKS!However, it was broken when I bought it and knew what I had to do to get it up and running again, provided that the LV-20 board had not deteriorated too badly.Essentially, I spent about six hours replacing every single SMD electrolytic capacitor as well as clean up and patching any compromised traces on board LV-20.Now the player works marvelously with excellent picture quality for a Sony.Here's a YouTube video of this machine in action, including showing off its unique aut |

| First 650 characters of this post | I just purchased a used kv-32fv310 and after watching it for a while I've noticed that the colors do not seem to overlay perfectly. Its slight, but when I have the on-screen menu up the text and lines of the menu have a very slight red shadow to the right. Once I found it, I notice it all the time. Usually its not that bad, but text or sharp lines bring it out. Is there some alignment or focus adjustment I can perform? | First 650 characters of this post | I've noticed that Sony lists the V5100 series as having a 5000:1 contrast ratio while their other mid-high range lcds are listed at 3800:1. I thought that the W,Z, and XBR would have higher contrast ratios. Mistake on Sony's part or are the V series panels for 2009 getting a tad darker than the others? Thanks |

| First 650 characters of this post | I have the Sony DA7ES which includes the RM TP1 Remote Commander. Recently, the RM TP1 started acting weird -- sometimes the LCD display will not shut off, sometimes after it shuts off it will come back on all by itself, and sometimes the touchpad does not work at all, so I can't perform any function besides the ones that involve the hard buttons. These problems have all come and gone over the last couple of weeks. Anybody seen this before? Any idea on how I can fix it before I'm forced to pay big bucks for a Harmony? Thanks! |

| First 650 characters of this post | I have the KP-57WS520 and it developed the 9-blink issue. I read the posts here and ordered the two replacement diodes for the G-board. I used a solder gun to heat the diodes while waiting because I read that soldering, or applying heat, can help. It did help and the tv worked normal for several weeks. When it developed the 9-blinks again, I had the parts already. The D6301 was no problem but the D6116 worried me because it is so small. I asked a friend with a lot of soldering experience to help. He took the board but while working on it, lost the diode. I ordered another one. How |

It is recommended that the service technician bring both an A and G, presumably to try swapping out one board at a time. The A and G board part numbers are below.
