Keyword Tips If you are search for "50we610 blinking" try "we610 blinking". If you search for "5 blinking" try "five blinking". If you search for "Sony KDF-55wf655" try "55wf655" or better yet "wf655". Try searching with general search term first and then add more specific keywords to narrow it down.

Also, try the new Google Search which searches the entire Agoraquest website. Click here

For Televisions issues, red/green blinking lights, vertical lines, D Board, Lamp Driver and more.
I would vist our "Frequently Asked Questions for Sony Products" forum and read the "Television Trouble Shooting Information Packages" thread. There are several service bulletin packages that can help resolve those issues.
For Televisions issues with blue, green, optical block, extending warranty or other related issues
I would visit our new Sony Alert/Warranty recall section at Sony Recall/Warranty Section

First 650 characters of this postI know ur all sick of the video calibration questions, but 1. Is the adjustment procedure the same with a lcd, then with a direct view?I have the avia dvd should I get the blue ray version? 2. Anybody have the experience with the adjustments of a 52xbr6?I have noticed alot of pix settings, so far I have turned off the back light sensor and have improved the pix considerably. 3. What picture setting does sony represent the 6500 scale? This is my first screen size bigger then a 34" direct view set.And so far Im not happy with the

First 650 characters of this postThis is an old topic, but I thought I\'d contribute a possible solution. Try to use the disc drive auto calibration in the player service menu. FIRST: If the optical pickup is definitely faulty, then the adjustment procedure will fail and be aborted when it is attempted. If that\'s the case, try to clean the optics. If that doesn\'t work, then you\'ll have to attempt replacement of the KSS-130A dual optical pickup. These things are EXPENSIVE!!! Fortunately, they\'re also durable. You will need the Sony DVD player remote commander, one audio CD, one single layer D

First 650 characters of this postI have this player too. The calibration procedure found at the link below has helped keep mine going. It\'s easy to do and there\'s no need to open the unit\'s case. http://myweb.accessus.net/~090/sonydvd.html You will need a single layer (silver colored) and a dual layer (gold/orange colored) as well as a CD and if you use it for SACD, a Hybrid SACD. Good luck and keep us posted. Tom

I\'m trying to flatten out a peak in the subwoofer\'s range of 15 hz to 80 hz, not adjust the level to match the other speakers level. My graph shows me that the range around 40 to 45 hz is about 6-10 db too high compared to the other parts of the graph. My question was about whether to play the tones from my other three mains while creating this graph or just play the subwoofer, because the graphs show different

First 650 characters of this post**** NOTE: I ADVISE DOING THE RE-CAL AS MC76 EXPLAINED ABOVE ONLY AS A LAST RESORT! *****Without certified calibration discs you\'ll never get the adjustments as accurate as they are from the factory. Yes, if you replace the laser assembly then by all means go for the automatic calibration procedure, but trust me when I say that a factory calibrated unit is better off staying that way...My personal favorite backup ripping utils are:DVD DecrypterAnyDVD (works well with problem Sony discs)Dvd2OneCopy2Dvd-Surgeon-

First 650 characters of this postTo all that may be interested....My Buddy\'s Sony SA WX700 Sub arrived yesterday, and I spent most of last night with him Positioning, Calibrating, and Listening to his new purchase.Let me start by saying...This is no \"little\" Sony sub....It\'s close to 60 pound weight, to me, qualifies it at least mid size, with some pretty large output....but I\'m getting ahead of myself....His budget system consists of my old Sony STR DE675 receiver, (Which I must say I was never that impressed with) A budget DVD player (forget the make or model) an old mono VCR, and a set of

First 650 characters of this postIf your DVP-S530D served you well for several years, its possible that all it needs is alignment.  You might try doing it yourself using the Sony_DVD_Calibration_Procedure_(PDF).  If you are uncomfortable doing it youself, take it to your nearest authorized Sony servicenter for a checkup.  You might call first for a quote.[addsig]

First 650 characters of this postIt\'s not the DVDs - it\'s the player. Even mint DVDs fresh out of the packaging are doing it now. I tried the calibration procedure and it worked for single layer discs, but errored on every dual-layer disc I own. All my DVDs play on my other players, but the DAV-C770 seems to be getting worse by the day. As bizarre as it sounds, it now seems to be sound-related - every time something loud happens in the movie, the disk judders, skips and freezes. The player is on an isolated base and my subwoofer is on the carpet 20ft away so it can\'t be physical vibration that\'s doing it.

First 650 characters of this postI have a Sony DVP-S335 that freezes and jumps towards the end of films and is becoming very distressing. It does this on every dvd now. I have cleaned the lens and carried out the calibration procedure as stated on this website. Sending it back is not a option as it is over one year old, so if any one has any other do it yourself ideas of how to repair it please let me know.

First 650 characters of this postHello all, would you recommend the (automatic) calibration procedure (in the service menu) in a Sony player in case it is not playing certain types of DVD-R ? Do you think it might help reading more types of DVD-R?  Do you think I can damage on the other hand certain other functions or the whole Player? Please tell me your experiences, I have a brand new DVD Player and generally very happy with it, playback quality (video and audio) is superb, just doesn\'t play all DVD-Rs, for instance it plays TDK but not Sentinel, if I could fix it w

This afternoon/evening I spent about 4 hours tweaking bigscreentv\'s KF-60XBR950. I was able to improve the resolution, gray scale and color decoder in his set. Generally, I would say the GWIII XBR can look very close to a fully tweaked GWII XBR. The bright 60\

First 650 characters of this postTo add, i have run through the automatic drive recalibration procedure from the service menu with both SL-DVD and DL-DVD, both good clean discs, now some Single layer discs play fine, but no Dual layers play. During auto calibration, a lot of searching can be heard and it regularly looses the alphanumeric codes that it finds ------- is displayed for a moment. Simply, it seems to have NO composure with DL-DVDs. I wanted to ask.. can i just tweak the laser adjustment pot on the bottom of the laser unit, mounted onto the ribbon cable, i used this with great sucess getting old s

First 650 characters of this postOne thing you might try is to go into the service mode and run the drive calibration routine. There is a doc on how to do this in the downloads section of this site: Sony DVD Calibration Procedure (PDF) I\'m not having the same problems you are, but I ran the calibration on my 530D and it was pretty simple and straightforward. HTH.
