Also, try the new Google Search which searches the entire Agoraquest website. Click here

For Televisions issues, red/green blinking lights, vertical lines, D Board, Lamp Driver and more.
I would vist our "Frequently Asked Questions for Sony Products" forum and read the "Television Trouble Shooting Information Packages" thread. There are several service bulletin packages that can help resolve those issues.
For Televisions issues with blue, green, optical block, extending warranty or other related issues
I would visit our new Sony Alert/Warranty recall section at Sony Recall/Warranty Section

First 650 characters of this postHi All I have the above problem and was seeking some advice. The TV is 2 years old and has been fine until yesterday. I have read the codes and am slightly confused as some places say Backlight and others V STOP? I have done some Fault finding. I dont think my LCD Screen is at fault as when I disconnect it I get the same fault code. I dont think it is the Inverter Board (PCB2676/7) as when I disconnect that either at output or input I get the same fault. I do not think it is the LVDS Board (400HSC4LV2) as I also get the same fault.

First 650 characters of this postOur KDF-55WF655 is now restarting itself every 3 minutes or so (in the past it restarted occassionally, but now it's doing so perpetually).  By "restart" I mean the picture goes black, audio shuts off, green light flashes as it normally does when first turned on, then the picture comes back, followed in 2-3 seconds by the audio. The Operating Instructions say the flashing green light means "The lamp for the light source is ready to turn on."  Right.  It was just on!Twice this weekend when the set was turned off, the red light went into a fiv

First 650 characters of this postWelcome to Agoraquest!  Unfortunately, green blinks don\'t indicate error codes.  Only red blinks do and the blinks have to repeat as in n blinks, pause, n blinks, etc.  The error code that indicates that the thermal fuse needs to be replaced is 6 red blinks, pause, 6 red blinks, etc.  See the instructions in the \"Frequently Asked Questions for Sony Products\" forum \"Television Troubleshooting Information Packages\" thread for how to obtain the \"No power RED Standby LED flashes 6 times/KDF55XS955, KDF60XS955, KDFE55A20, KDFE60A20\" information package, if yo

First 650 characters of this postDo the blink codes repeat?  In other words, does the standby light blink 6/7 times, pause, then blink 6/7 times again? If it doesn't repeat, it's not a diagnostic code. For what it's worth, my KV-36XBR400 produced non-repeating blink codes of 5, 6 and 7 blinks over the course of several weeks.  The problem with my set turned out to be a failed MCZ3001D IC in the IC6501 position. Does your set have a third MCZ3001D IC on the A-Board?  If so, that might also be causing your power up problems.  (Not all sets have this th

First 650 characters of this postI was given a Sony KF-50WE620 manufactured in Jan 2005. It did not have a lamp so I purchased a Philips OEM on e-bay. When I power up the set the green light blinks for about 45 seconds then it turns red with 5 flashes. If I hit the power button a second time it sends a 4 flash signal. It seems to point to the lamp driver. I have a few questions before I purchase a new lamp driver module. I know that I took a chance purchasing the lamp on e-bay and it is a Philips OEM (supposedly); problem is I cannot cross reference the Philips barcode to be sure it is the correct lamp. Would the wron

I realize this is a long since dead-and-buried thread, but I wanted to follow up and confirm some things if you'll indulge me, since the OP's problem description fits mine pretty perfectly, but the response here raises a few questions for me.I've also got a KV-32HS510 CRT that's recently developed a severe chronic 6-blink problem (it went from "sometimes doesn't come on" to "permanently error-code catatonic" in the space of less than two weeks).
