| Television Troubleshooting | Sony KDF-55WF655 restarts every 3 minutes | texpilot | 6 | 2009-10-05 22:39 |
| First 650 characters of this post | Our KDF-55WF655 is now restarting itself every 3 minutes or so (in the past it restarted occassionally, but now it's doing so perpetually). By "restart" I mean the picture goes black, audio shuts off, green light flashes as it normally does when first turned on, then the picture comes back, followed in 2-3 seconds by the audio. The Operating Instructions say the flashing green light means "The lamp for the light source is ready to turn on." Right. It was just on!Twice this weekend when the set was turned off, the red light went into a fiv |
| Television Troubleshooting | KF50WE610 red standby light blinking 5 times on power up | SGW50 | 2 | 2009-09-26 14:20 |
| First 650 characters of this post | On power up the standby light changes to a green light and soon after begins flashing 5 times with no picture and sound on power up. A couple of times there was sound for at most a couple of seconds but no picture. I checked the lamp that was changed this last year and it appeared to be in good condition. From what I've read on past posts it is highly likely that the lamp driver/power block is bad. I need the current part number for the board and any associated information that would enable me to change it myself. I gathered that John posted some of this info in the past, but I do |

| First 650 characters of this post | Do the five flashing red lights tell what the exact problem is or could the problem be either the lamp or the lamp driver? You mentioned the LAMP light. Where would this be?If it does need the lamp driver, how do I replace it? Any suggestions on where to purchase the parts? Thanks! |
| Television Troubleshooting | Power up Problems 60" wega TV | campintime | 8 | 2009-09-06 18:35 |
| First 650 characters of this post | TV begins to turn on by showing the flashing green light and you can hear the fans turn on while it is warming up as normal. After about30-45 sec. the powering up process is halted and the red "lamp" indicator begins to flash and continue to flash indefinitely until the TV is removed from the power supply. I have changed out the lamp about two to three months ago and just performed a visual inspection of the lamp and it looks good,(not hazed liked the old one)The TV has been functioning normally since the lamp replacement until this morning. | Television Troubleshooting | KDF-55WF655 Shuts off/on | kaleoa | 4 | 2009-08-21 01:24 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I have a KDF-55WF655. I can turn it on and I get both picture and sound for a minute or two the the set shuts down with a blinking green light for a minute or so then turns back on. This repeats until I hit the power button. Sometimes I get 5 flashing red lights after I power down, which I've found in this forum to be a problem with the Power Supply Block (146887511).Even though I still get a picture, my lamp is sitting at 8652 hours so I've decided to replace that first. I was going to hold off on ordering the Power Supply Block until after I swap out the Lamp, unless someone thin |
| Television Troubleshooting | Sony Grand Wega KDF-55Xs955 green continuous blinking and powering off | SCN | 11 | 2009-08-04 21:44 |
| First 650 characters of this post | Hi, What a great site! I apologize that this seems to be a variation of a ton of similar posts but I didnt find our exact issue. We've had a KDF-55XS955 for many years with no issues. About a year ago, the color started being very "off" and not so bright. We adjusted the settings to no avail. Today, it started the cycle of powering on and off repeatedly, maybe every 20 seconds or so. The power/standby light flashes continuously green. We had multiple people try to count but it seems to be a steady stream of flas |
| Television Troubleshooting | KDF E60A20 Losing Picture and Sound, No flashing lights | jalthe1andonly | 3 | 2009-07-19 17:37 |
| First 650 characters of this post | Started losing picture and sound intermittently on all inputs. There are no flashing lights on the TV. Called Sony, had us reset by unplugging powerplug for one minute. They suggested we call a tech. Could this just be the lamp going out? Why would the lamp affect both the audio and the video? We have had this TV three years and haven't had to replace the bulb yet. We keep it on "Power Saving" mode. When we turned it to normal, the pic and sound go out more quickly. We really think it is the lamp going ou |

| Television Troubleshooting | KDF50WE655, Power/Standby light flashes 55-57 times and doesn't turn on | joshuastack | 8 | 2009-07-18 20:26 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I replaced the lamp in my TV about 2 weeks ago after the original popped while watching a movie. After installing the new lamp it worked like a champ for a few days but then it started to have an intermittent issue. I would hit the power button on tv or remote and the power/standby light would flash green about 55-57 times then the power/standby and lamp light would turn red. I would then hit the power button to clear the red lights and then hit the power button again and the tv would work again. Sometimes it would a few times turning it off and back |
| Television Troubleshooting | Grand wega stand by light flashes 20 times, then turns off. | RobertM | 10 | 2009-05-27 00:07 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I have the same problem with my Sony KF-60XBR800. The set turns on, and then after a couple of minutes, it seems to power cycle. Then the \"stand-by\" lamp flashes for a bit and the picture comes back on.
The same \"stand-by\" light flashing would occur normally if you were to turn the set off, and then immediately turn it back on. It normally will wait a minute before the picture will display. This is what leads me to believe it is something overheating, a relay tripping, or a breaker popping and resetting.
Also, the picture is clear and bright when it is on, so it is ha |

| Television Troubleshooting | KDFE55A20 shutdown after 5 seconds but not having any diag faults detected | al-bundy | 4 | 2009-03-26 19:39 |
| First 650 characters of this post | Hi All, I have a 3 year old Sony KDF-E55A20 which recently has been acting up. It comes on for approx 5 seconds, then shuts down along with audio for about 30seconds(and cycles like that). The self-Diagnosis initially showed LowB-ERR. What I did was cleared the results codes and all values were set back to "0" & powered off. I powered again and the LowB-ERR is no longer detected as '1'. |

| First 650 characters of this post | Jehill/Claudio,Please Help. Sorry for the duplicate post. I have a Sony KDF60-XS955 TV and it was flashing 30 times green plus 7 additional times green before the video came back up on screen. I went in diagnostics mode. Lamp timer read 6600 hours. I replaced the lamp today and reset the lamp timer to zero. Could not reset the Lamp CT to zero. Still shows 2000. Why? And, under the panel screen ( by pressing "Display" then "5" then "Volume +" then "Power") and then pressing "1" the panel display still shows the following:PANE |
