| Television Troubleshooting | KV-32HV600 | pinehurst_gal | 7 | 2012-11-11 10:13 |
| First 650 characters of this post | We have a KV-32HV600 that's about 8 years old. We love the TV and have had no problems with it until about 2 weeks ago. It wouldn't turn on and started a series of blink codes. Several times we left it unplugged for a day and it turned on fine but now it won't turn on at all, even after leaving it unplugged for 3 days. We have had different blink codes over the last 2 weeks. It has been mostly 6 blinks or 7 blinks. On ocassion we have seen 5 blinks and this morning we've seen 4 blinks. We've looked at the information on what the different blink codes signify. Our concern is that since we've ha |

| First 650 characters of this post | Well, I can be added to the list of people who have fixed their set by replacing the two ICs (MCZ3001D - IC 6501 and 8001 on circuit board D). I had the blink code that blinked either 6 or 7 times when the set was powered but had no picture or sound. I read the information that was posted. I downloaded a service manual that contains full schematics and helpful information about discharging and disconnecting the CRT high voltage cap safely. You can get to the service manual here: |
| Television Troubleshooting | Sony KV-32HV600 Dead - Red Light Blinks 6 Times | Fire4Effect | 2 | 2007-11-05 21:20 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I have a Sony kv-32hv600 and the video and audio are inoperative. The red stand-by light blinks 6 times. What is the most likely source of the problem and will it be difficult to fix. NOTE: I have assembled a lot of Heathkits back in the 60’s and 70’s so I don’t mind poking around inside.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

| Television Troubleshooting | Problem with high definition with Sony KV-32HV600 | Ragsy | 5 | 2005-09-09 11:34 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I have a Sony KV-32HV600. I have owned it for 2.5 years or so. It has always been great. I got Direct TV high definition package about 8 months ago. The picture is fantastic. The problem is that I have video and audio stuttering on the high def channels. I have a Hughes HR10-250 Tivo Direct TV receiver. I have replaced that unit 3 times already and the problem persists. Direct TV has changed everything I can think of. The LNB has been replaced. All the cables replaced. The satellite signal is fine. The stuttering occ |
| Television Misc and News | Display problem with my KV-32HV600 and DVR | panazz | 3 | 2004-12-30 02:10 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I recently upgraded my Comcast cable service to their digital cable package. The package includes a Motorola DCT6412 DVR, which connects to my KV-32HV600 via the tv\'s DVI input port (Video input 7).The problem I\'m having is this: When I first switch to video input 7, I get the standard green Sony \"Video 7\" display message on the tv screen. This display message NEVER goes away as long as the DVR is plugged in and the digital cable is on. I can switch to my Sony dvd player (video input channel 5), and the display message turns off after a short period |
| Television Troubleshooting | jpegs appear "squished" on tv | dragpeace | 9 | 2004-12-10 16:10 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I have a KV-32HV600 Trinitron Wega tv that works beautifully. I play DVDs with no problems at all. However, when I put a DVD-R with jpegs on it in my DVD player (which can obviously handle these), the pictures are displayed on the tv in \"letterbox\" mode - i.e. they are \"squashed\" into a letterbox size, when they should be full screen. Strangely, when the first picture comes up, for just an instant, it is perfect (full-screen), but the tv immediately squishes it down into letterbox size. Also, when I go back to the DVD index, the display goes back to full screen. It\'s only when I try |
| Television Troubleshooting | Odd convergence problem | 29ways | 4 | 2004-08-04 19:25 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I notice everytime I adjust the convergence on my tv it becomes unaligned in about 3 weeks, back the way it was before adjusting. I know they advise an alignment about every 9-12 months. I\'ve adjusted it about 4 times in the last 2 or 3 months now. I\'m pretty sure that is not normal. Just wondering if any techs out there know something. By the way I have a service manual and been adjusting convergence from the back of the tv, not through the service menu ( I cannot anymore for some reason).

| Television Troubleshooting | Problem when playing Progressive Scan | 29ways | 4 | 2004-07-22 09:06 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I have a kv-32hv600 Sony tv and just recently I noticed something when in progressive scan mode. Whether it was a videogame or dvd in 480p, you could see on the right and left edges of the screen, a little movement. A little hard to pick up, but when you see a static image it\'s very obvious. For example I put up a crosshatch pattern from a AVIA, you can see the straight lines on the edges sort of wiggle vertically from top to bottom. Now when I de-activate progressive scan, everything is fine. Any idea what can be causing it? I appreciate the help. Thanks. |
| Television Misc and News | More Information on the KD-34XBR960 | CalPacific | 21 | 2004-05-01 14:51 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I currently own a KV-32HV600 (4:3), and have HDTV via a Comcast set top box, and have decided to replace it with the new KD-34XBR960. I\'ve been searching for information and was tempted at getting a 910 instead. Seems Sony and dealers are trying to clear out their inventories, and are offering nice deals - free stands and lower prices.
Now I\'ve found some more information on the 960 on a Sony website for corporate incentive programs. There may be other things that are included for corporate buyers as part of this Sony incentive/motivation program - however, the price shown on this |
