| First 650 characters of this post | Hi, I have a KV34XBR800 that has the STANDYBY light blink 6 times and fails to come on - and in diagnostics mode it showed a 1 beside the LOW B OCP/OVP I am strongly considering the IC swap. Can someone confirm that the kV34XBR800 uses the same board? I saw mention of XBR400, XBR450 etc but not my specific model. Also - I noticed that some of the pins are NOT soldered. Why is that? If I go to replace the ICs, should I also avoid soldering these legs? Cheers, Jeff On 2006-12-16 07:46, jehill wr |

| First 650 characters of this post | Okay, Here we go.I have a KV32HV600. For a period of a week, the TV would intermittently not turn on. I had no idea about the blinking pattern. The next several days it worked fine. Then it wouldn't turn on. I then noticed the blinking pattern. It was blinking 7 times. I then went on the internet to look up the 7 blinks. I then looked at the TV again to confirm the blinks only to find it was now blinking 6 times (it would repeat iteslf with the six.To complicate the matter, last night I was moving the TV to find the model number when it gradually began sliding off of it |

| First 650 characters of this post | Another successful D-board repair, and some tips!First thanks to BobF and everyone that posted their experience with the D-board repair to this and other threads on this board. My KV-32xbr400 is now back in action with only a small monetary investment, plus some time. My repair consisted of replacing the IC6501 and IC8002 on the D board, as described several times here by others. A few tips from my experience:1) If you can get the TV to turn on at all, even once, try to use the "Display, 5, vol -, power on" sequence to see the error code |

| First 650 characters of this post | I understand your frustration. When you get the blink codes, do they repeat? In other words, does the light blink 7 times, pause and blink 7 times again? If the blink sequence doesn't repeat, it's not a diagnostic code. As a first step you might want to search for your model number in this troubleshooting forum. You might find other report of similar symptoms and potential repairs. Here a link to the "forum only" search engine: http: |

Does the standby indicator blink six times over and over again? Or does it just blink six times and stop? (If it repeats, it\'s a diagnostic code. If it doesn\'t repeat, according to forum member BUDMAN, it\'s not a diagnostic code.) |

| Television Troubleshooting | KV-28HX15U turns itself off. HELP! | craig1975 | 4 | 2006-01-30 20:23 |
| First 650 characters of this post | My TV - Sony KV-28HX15U - has started to switch itself off after a period of time and then the standby light blinks. Does anyone have any idea why this is? I have only had the TV for about 14 months, surely it should last longer than that.
I notice in other posts that the amount of times it blinks is important in solving the problem so I\'ll post again when I find out how many times it does this.
Any help in the meantime would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
