| First 650 characters of this post | Hi, I have a Sony LCD KLV-32M1. But when I turn the TV on. (from standby)sometimes, the screen goes black and sounds goes off, the led is still green, and after a few seconds the TV swithes on again. Further than this problem I have no problems. Backlight seem OK.Does anyone a suggestion? And maybe someone can provide me with the service manual?thank you for your time! |

I did a search to try and find someone with a similar problem, but I couldn't find anything.Someone just gave me a Sony KLV-32M1 because it wouldn't turn on. They knew that I liked to fix things so I said I would take it. I haven't opened it up yet, but I am just looking for some guidance as to what I should be looking for.When I hit the power button on the TV I get Nothing. The audio power supply ic has its top blown off and the only part of the part no. visible is \"C....41M\" . I can make out the S and Y of Sony printed above the part no. A similar service manual i obtained (KLV-32M1) listed the ic as MCZ3001UB. The ic looks like a 32 pin smd DIL with 8 pins on its second side deliberately omitted, hence it has 24 pins , like the MCZ3001UB does. 6 pins (6 - 11) are connected to ground. I\'ve got the KLV-32M1 here in the United States, and haven\'t been able to get any service menu adjustments beyond some basic color settings.
Do you think you can provide me with step-by-step instructions of how you were able to get into the service mode with more settings?

| First 650 characters of this post | I have the SONY KLV-32M1, and Time Warner Cable in NYCBelkin Pure A/V HDMI to HDMITime Warner brought the Pioneer cable box so I used Pure A/V component cables and the picture was phenominal, but wanted to use my \"better\" HDMI input on the TV. Not to mention the tv only has one component video input I wanted to save for my pscan DVD.I switched to the Scientific Atlanta SA 8300 box because it has HDMI out. I unfortunately have been unable to find any solution to the problem despite having been searching for months.
Hopefully someone will uncover something!
