Also, try the new Google Search which searches the entire Agoraquest website. Click here

For Televisions issues, red/green blinking lights, vertical lines, D Board, Lamp Driver and more.
I would vist our "Frequently Asked Questions for Sony Products" forum and read the "Television Trouble Shooting Information Packages" thread. There are several service bulletin packages that can help resolve those issues.
For Televisions issues with blue, green, optical block, extending warranty or other related issues
I would visit our new Sony Alert/Warranty recall section at Sony Recall/Warranty Section

Television Troubleshootingkdf-55wf655 lamp went out replaced still won't turn on.claudio112009-11-19 01:47
First 650 characters of this postLaGrew, I would run the self diagnostic test which can be seen in the Frequently Asked question section. Also, are there any other visible issue that you see around the lamp area. I think this model is prone to warp door for the lamp door due to the heat. Could be the lamp driver but not entirely sure on that. I would check the lamp area. thundar69, The lamp bulb is Sony A-1085-447-A Model XL-2200 Lamp Block Assembly XL-2200U Replacement Lamp for WF, XS and E Series Grand WEGA TVs, Works with models KDF-55XS955, KDF-60XS955, KDF-E60A20, KDF-55WF655, KDF-60W
Television TroubleshootingWe had a 5 blinking, 50WE610 TV and Sony offered us a replacement...LeighRacin32009-11-11 22:21
First 650 characters of this postHello,I too have the same TV and have the 5 blinking problems.  We had it repaired once already...under extended warranty.  Well, now out of warranty the only thing I can find help from Sony with is if we have a \"warped lamp door\".  I looked...we do not. However, could you let me know what problem you were having.....in case my tv also falls under that.  It is a 2004 KF-50WE610.Figured it was worth a try to look into this more...Thanks!

First 650 characters of this postSony KF-50WE610 is 5 years old. Lamp has been replaced 3 times. Now on turn on it blinks green 6 times, switches to blinking to red 6 times pauses 3 sec and repeats. By clicking the on button it goes back to blinking green then back to red and repeating this procedure it eventually latches on. This time period is taking longer now but still able to come on eventually. But my girl friend did this for 1/2 hour at one time and got to stay on.Can I get help before it blows up?

First 650 characters of this postHelloI have the KF50WE610 since 2004 with no problems until now...tv shuts down after few minutes and power light blinks 6 times. I bought a thermal fuse(part# 157695111, the size of a dime) from sony, removed the fan, removed the A/V, removed the optical unit, removed the second fan but I don't find the thermal fuse. I'm planing to change the thermal fuse first and then the G1 board(this is what I read in this forum). I'm not technical so please I'll need details. Thank you

First 650 characters of this postJehill and all others with the \"6 red flash/blink problem\" with your KF-50WE610.  As noted above, I was going to forge ahead and try to replace only the thermal fuse.  Unfortuneately, and as referenced as a successful fix in another post, what I ordered from SONY was a thermostat (SONY Part # 157695111).  Upon disassembly of the set, I could not find the above mentioned thermostat in the set or any reference to it in the service manual (SONY Part #9-965-377-04).  I did find what appears to be the thermal fuse that others have mentioned (grey/white wire to b

First 650 characters of this postI can\'t find any good pictures that clearly show how the looping wire is to be positioned.  However, I do see what appears to be the wire in the photo included in the \"Lamp-Driver SB including lamp driver removal drawings/KF42WE610, KF50WE610, KF60WE610\" television troubleshooting information package.  Do you already have it?  If not, refer to the Frequently Asked Questions for Sony Products forum.

First 650 characters of this poststephengraham37 -What you saw was the spark gap on the lamp driver board.  Sometimes the 5 blink error code that indicates a problem with the lamp driver board is triggered by a bad lamp.  If you have never replaced the lamp, I would do that before replacing the lamp driver. You may also become a premium member and request the \"Lamp-Driver SB including lamp driver removal drawings/KF42WE610, KF50WE610, KF60WE610\" television troubleshooting information package as outlined in the \"Frequently Asked Questions fo
Television TroubleshootingKF50WE610 lamp will intermittently not startbgreeff12009-06-24 11:40
First 650 characters of this postFor the last few days, the lamp on my KF50WE610, bought back in 2003, intermittently will not start.  When it does not start the green light flashes and there is a periodic buzzing sound.  This happens for a while and then the red lamp light comes on.  If this happens, I just hit the power button again and then the lamp may come on.  So far it has always started after 3 attempts.  When the lamp does start, there is no buzzing sound.
    Television TroubleshootingKF-50WE610 Lame replacement, smudged prism?jttar22009-06-16 23:14
First 650 characters of this postDwimmerlaik,Not only is it OK but I would reccomend using a lint free cloth or an optical cleaning cloth to clean the glass or mirror when changing the lamp. If the smudge or dust is stubborn to remove you could use a slightly dampened cloth. You just want to be careful as not to scratch the glass. Always use a clean section of the cloth to make your next wipe of the glass. As far as getting into the service menu to check or reset lamp hours, give THIS a try and see if it works for your KF-50WE610.

First 650 characters of this postHi all the experts out there, I have a KF-50WE610 model (built in June 2004) that recently shut down and now started the popular 6-blink symptom.  After I tried bypassing the thermal fuse, it turned back on.  The fuse is in the image below (I found it from another thread, courtesy of its poster).  I searched and searched this forum and couldn't find the part # for this model. After talking to Sony rep, they said that they didn't sell just the fuse; I'd have to send the w

Television TroubleshootingHorizontal lines across the entire screenstuart478682009-04-15 13:22
First 650 characters of this postI have a 5 year old kf50we610 rptv. About a year ago I had the optic block rep;aced under the extended factory recall warranty after falling subject to the infamous Sony big blue blob monster. Recently ive been getting faint horizontal blue and green lines across the screen. I cleaned the light optic block. The picture is better but the lines are still there. Others watching the tv dont seem to notice them until I point it out. It really bugs me. I hope its not the DIC block. That part costs a fortune..Please Help!!   [ This message was edited by: stuart4786 on
