Welcome to Agoraquest! For the KDL46HX800, 7 blinks, pause, 7 blinks, etc. means \"Temperature Error\" and the possible location listed is \"BAL Board\".This is the starting point for a qualified service technician. |

| Television Troubleshooting | KDL-46BX420 not turning on, no LED blinking | jehill | 10 | 2013-03-24 14:16 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I don\'t have access to the KDL46BX420 service manual, but I can tell you that the white box that is clicking is an RY (relay), not a R (resistor). I wouldn\'t replace all of the electrolytic capacitors, but I might try replacing the power supply board. Its the board that the power cord goes to and usually starts with the letter G as in G1, G2, etc. |
| Television Troubleshooting | KDL52W3000 no power, no lights, no codes | jehill | 11 | 2013-03-19 13:51 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I don\'t have access to the KDL52W3000 service manual, but I do have access to the KDL46W3000 service manual. According to that manual, the power cord is connected to the GF1 board. If the information in the link that you provided is correct, it would be the GF2 Power Supply board in your set. If you are planning on replacing one board at a time, that\'s where I would start. |

| First 650 characters of this post | The TV came with a two year warranty, which is unusual (typical is a year) and that was one of the reasons we chose it. This is the warranty: http://www.docs.sony.com/release/Warranty_4144388011.pdfI'll share what Sony emailed via their "sonylistens" Advanced Resolution Team:"Unfortunately as much as Sony attempts to provide a perfect product that will last for many years, sometimes repairs are required..... Since your unit is now out of warranty and in fairness to all Sony cus |

| First 650 characters of this post | For the KDL46XBR9,13 blinks, pause, 13 blinks, etc. of the red standby light means \"Balancer\" and the possible locations listed are as follows: LCD Panel, D1N Board (inverter) and D2N Board (inverter)14 blinks, pause, 14 blinks, etc. of the red standby light means \"TCON Err\" and the possible location listed is \"LCD Panel\".These are the starting points for a qualified service technician. If the 14 blinks code repeats, that\'s the code that I would go with. The TCON board is attached to the rear of the LCD and MAY have a fuse on it. I would look for th |

| First 650 characters of this post | Hi,I am wondering if anyone has had any experience with internal temperature errors with this model or similar models. The set will turn on and run for anywhere between 5min to a few hours. After it shuts down and gives the temperature error code it may take a day or so before it turns back on. I have got the by Vid-Saver" href="http://www.avsforum.com/t/1459859/sony-kdl46-hx800-internal-temperature-errors-7-flashes#">service manual on from an online source. I |

| First 650 characters of this post | Looking at the picture from above, from the left is my TAE/N9000ES combo. I use the TAE for my Direct TV and music via the VLink USB asynchronous DAC (Thanks for turning me on to that MAX!) . In the center is my (stillborn) HTPC, Toshiba XA2 HDDVD (RIP) and Direct TV box. Very frustrating on that HTPC. I have been building them for over 10 years and thought I had seen it all as far as operating system installation and troubleshooting. But this latest build will NOT run Windows7 properly. Something in the hardware (I think CPU |
