Recommended after display the search results. I would open the links in a new window. Read the postings and when done close the window. And open the next posting that you want to read in a new window, close that window and repeat. This is probably the most efficient way.

Also, try the new Google Search which searches the entire Agoraquest website. Click here

For Televisions issues, red/green blinking lights, vertical lines, D Board, Lamp Driver and more.
I would vist our "Frequently Asked Questions for Sony Products" forum and read the "Television Trouble Shooting Information Packages" thread. There are several service bulletin packages that can help resolve those issues.
For Televisions issues with blue, green, optical block, extending warranty or other related issues
I would visit our new Sony Alert/Warranty recall section at Sony Recall/Warranty Section

First 650 characters of this postJust a shout out jehill, man you rock and thanks a bunch. The Lamp door answer was dead on. I had tried and tried with the new replacement lamp. And couldn\'t figure out as to why my KDF-42WE655 wouldn\'t come on. It would power on then off and the red light would blink three times. After about an hour of searching and looking at Sony not that helpful page. I found your answer to my problem. And I\'ll say it one last time Thank You!!!!!

Television TroubleshootingSony is going to replace my KF42WE610, what does that mean please?soundtweakers1072009-09-03 13:49
First 650 characters of this postHi, my first post here.  Joined this forum because I believe I\'m about to experience what\'s been described as a long term battle with sony in this thread.  I have the KDF-42WE655 from 2005 that has the same over heating melting problem as many members here.  The lamp access door melted/bonded together with the frame the door is attached to, unfortunately I had only discover this problem while trying to replace my blown lamp that came factory installed.  After reading Sony\'s \"news and alerts\" page, I decide to call the number and ho

Television TroubleshootingKDF-42WE655 No picture and continous blinking red lightclaudio22009-04-27 12:43
First 650 characters of this postFrom the description, if the KDF-42WE655 is continously blinking. it\'s more likely a lamp issue and can be fixed by replacing the lamp. In the forum section \"Frequently Asked Questions\' there is a section to see how many hours you have used on that lamp and then reset it when you replace your new lamp.

First 650 characters of this postHi, Usually extended warranty don't cover bulb replacement though I have heard that Sony's 1 year warranty will replace the bulb. The lamp needed to be replaced is xl-2100u which is also part number A1606034B I would get the lamp that has the housing case included. Some places sell the lamp by itself. Instructions and pictures on replacing a 42we620 bulb can be seen at http://www.agoraquest.com/viewtopic.php?topic=31722&forum=70

First 650 characters of this postWe have the Sony KDF-42WE655 which has the blue dot/blob issue. It is being replaced with a new set under the Sony "Special Consideration" extended warranty program. Sony told us that they donot want the faulty set back. It's ours to use or be disposed of. What I would like to know is wether there might be any useful life left in the KDF-42WE655. With the high cost ($1,000) involved to repair this, it certainly isn't worth  doing. At this point the blue dots ar

First 650 characters of this postAny adive would be great on this! I have had a Sony DVD player NS72hp for a few months and have had it connected to my KDF-42WE655 via HDMI and everything has worked fine. I have replaced the DVD player and the cable with no change. Component works fine, no change if I have component plugged in or not. Thank you for your help!

First 650 characters of this postI posted this because I\'ve only seen one other person on the web ever experience the same thing...The power indicator blinks after pushing power, and it clicks and blinks longer and longer each time before fully starting.  I\'m up to 30 minutes now.  When it does finally come on, the picture\'s perfect.  I\'ve resorted to just leaving it on with the cable box off, because I don\'t think it will make it the next time.Originally, the fans would just start up, then shut off, start up, then shut off, until eventually it would make it and the picture would come on.&n

First 650 characters of this post Have a Sony KDF-42WE655 (Rear projection LCD) While watching all of a sudden thin black lines appeared from right to left on the screen, they took up about 75% of the screen from right to left and they went from the top to the bottom. They were very close together at the right of the screen and then spread out some towards the center of screen. Weird thing is I thought it may be a cable issue so I tried to switch inputs on the TV to my DVD player and the TV would not respond. I reset the TV to \"factory specs\" according to the manual using the remote reset but
