| Television Troubleshooting | New thermal fuse, but still dead | dryoung | 1 | 2009-11-05 10:31 |
| First 650 characters of this post | On my KDF-50E2000 I have the six blinks. I replaced the thermal fuse, but it still doesn't work. I turn the TV on and it starts to warm up for about 5-6 seconds and then clicks and shuts down with the 6 blinks on the red LED power light. Is there something else I should be looking at or do I need to reset something with the new thermal fuse to clear the error code? I have the service manual, but it doesn't seem very helpful for this problem. Thanks. |
| Television Troubleshooting | kdf60wf655 5 blinking lights | jttar | 2 | 2009-11-04 22:01 |
| First 650 characters of this post | Hello ironrockx.Greetings and welcome. Thank you for becoming a Premium Member. The five blink error code for your KDF60WF655 is a \"Lamp Driver Error\". No picture, no sound. If you haven\'t already change the lamp that would be the first thing to try. The lamp can be found on line for a little under $200(USD). I would recommend getting the complete housing assembly not just the bulb. Also, there are after market suppliers but we have had reports of the lamps not lasting as long and not being as bright. Genuine Sony would be my suggestion.C |

| First 650 characters of this post | My kdf-60xs955 has a recurring cable card problem. Every once in a while, I will lose most of the premium digital channels. From USA Network to HBO. Only the very basic HD channels will come in, the rest showing 'no signal'. Each time, I have to phone Verizon (and this happened with Comcast, too) and have them reset the cable card. Then everything returns to normal. And it w |

| Television Configuration | KDF-55XS955 Question | boulderskies | 3 | 2009-07-11 11:48 |
| First 650 characters of this post | During the entire time I've owned my KDF-55XS955 , there has always been a screen that cycles thru when I hit "TV\video" on the remote. I know I am cycling thru the inputs but on the one screen, there is no image and a "C0000" something or another at the top right hand corner. I noticed that it changed from C00008 to C4 after I entered the Service Menu to reset my Lamp Timer. Any ideas??? Scott[addsig] |
| Television Troubleshooting | KDFWF655 - Lamp or Lamp driver? | dagiez | 2 | 2009-06-27 14:06 |
| First 650 characters of this post | Hi, My KDFWF655 just kicked off. On the 1st reset I tried I briefly saw 5 Red Blinks on the power button. I looked that up and saw it has to do with the Lamp driver. However, upon addition retries, I do not get that anymore. It blicks green for about a minute, and I can hear what sounds like it is trying to start, but then the Lamp light comes on and blinks continuously. At no time do I get a picture. Did the TV just need time to rediagnose the issue? So, is it simply the lamp? That sure would be easier to replace... This was the 2nd lamp, and ha |
| Television Troubleshooting | Help! My KDF55WF655 seems to be stuck on one channel! | panthermark | 14 | 2009-05-28 00:06 |
| First 650 characters of this post | Hello, I've looked through all of the threads, and I have not found this to be a common problem. My KDF is almost 5 years old, but as two days ago, it will no longer change channels via the up and down buttons. It seems to be "stuck" on whatever the last channel was on before I turned the TV off. I can punch in the numbers on the remote, but I cannot use the "up and down" buttons on neither the remote nor the TV itself. It is as if the memory has died. I can only get the buttons to work if I re-scan all of the channels.....but |
| Television Troubleshooting | KDF-E42A10 blinking standby light (no error code) | fryedbread | 19 | 2009-05-23 16:54 |
| First 650 characters of this post | About 3 weeks ago, our 2 year old KDF-E42A10 started shutting itselfoff with a blinking standby light (just a continuous blink, i think wecounted 4.It started at once a day, then got up to several times per hour.Thinking the lamp was dying, we ordered a replacement lamp. This did not solve the problem. We've also tried different wall outlets/different surge protectors.I'mthinking it's some kind of heat issue, because when you first turn iton, it runs for a long time (sometimes up to an hour), |
| Television Troubleshooting | KDF-42WE655 No picture and continous blinking red light | claudio | 2 | 2009-04-27 12:43 |
| First 650 characters of this post | From the description, if the KDF-42WE655 is continously blinking. it\'s more likely a lamp issue and can be fixed by replacing the lamp. In the forum section \"Frequently Asked Questions\' there is a section to see how many hours you have used on that lamp and then reset it when you replace your new lamp. |

| Camera Troubleshooting | kdf-60xs955 turns off and on no red blinking lights just green | claudio | 2 | 2009-04-13 17:54 |
| First 650 characters of this post | The kdf-60xs955 looks like it\'s power cycling which is caused by the lamp aging. I would check on how many hours the lamp has. The instructions for this is in the Frequently Asked Questions and under the How To Reset Lamp Hours on Projection thread. The other thing you can try is do a power reset where you unplug it from the wall socket for 30 minutes and then replug it into see if it works. But more then likly it\'s the lamp and replacing it will fix the issue. Here is what Jehill posted in another thread similiar to this one\"Welcome to Agoraquest! | Camera Troubleshooting | kdf-55xs955 - TV tuns off and on and blinks 5 times | tbcarpet | 4 | 2009-04-06 23:56 |
| First 650 characters of this post | My kdf-55xs955 keeps turning off and then back on again. During this time the standby light blinks green 5 times. This has been happening for about a month. we unplugged it and reset it... this would normally give us a few more hours of tv but now it wont stay on for more than 5 seconds. We called sony and the guy told us it might be the lamp drive. he said the lamp drive is most likely not getting enough power to the lamp. |

| First 650 characters of this post | Jehill/Claudio,Please Help. Sorry for the duplicate post. I have a Sony KDF60-XS955 TV and it was flashing 30 times green plus 7 additional times green before the video came back up on screen. I went in diagnostics mode. Lamp timer read 6600 hours. I replaced the lamp today and reset the lamp timer to zero. Could not reset the Lamp CT to zero. Still shows 2000. Why? And, under the panel screen ( by pressing "Display" then "5" then "Volume +" then "Power") and then pressing "1" the panel display still shows the following:PANE |

| Television Troubleshooting | No broadcast, game, etc video | mfhny | 2 | 2009-02-28 21:42 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I have a KDF-E60A20, about 4 yrs old. Replaced lamp 11/08. Worked fine until tonight. When I turn set on, there is no video from any source - satellite, games, DVD player, etc. Each has a seperate video input, video 1, video 2, etc. Each video input #/title displays as usual on upper left of screen when selected. All audio seems to be OK. Also, the TV internal/WEGA video works fine. Tried to reset picture from WEGA menu, but does not resolve the problem. So the problem is with the actual video for each video input. Game (Wi) is through the front video 2 input; satellite is to rear HDMI. & |

| First 650 characters of this post | The only thing I can think of is that rear projections are not made anymore so extended warranties are not possible. But I'm pretty sure there is a 3rd party company that will extend the warranty. The HL-61A650 is a good replacement model.Since it has 1080p, the KDF-60WF655 only had 1080iCan't seem to find any issues or troubleshooting problems. The only thing I ran across is a possible brightness issueHere is the official Samsung website on it |
