When I turned it on this morning it would not display a picture or make any sound.The Power LED comes on and stays solid green or solid red depending on if I push the power button. So, no flashing to indicate an error code.I unplugged it for 30 minutes and plugged it back in same issue.Any thoughts on what the issue could be?I assume one of the boards gave out but any thoughts to which one?Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Jeff Gabaldon |

| First 650 characters of this post | I feel your pain. Unfortunately I cannot offer any assistance, however, I too am experiencing a similar situation though for now it simply restarts and stays on. I have the 46HX800 (14 months) and at least once per week I would turn the TV on and after about a minute it would restart. I believe the problem was addressed in one of their many updates for this TV but clearly the problem was never rectified. Hope its not a sign of things to come. Very disappointed in sony and their QC. |

| First 650 characters of this post | I have a sony KDL-55HX800 it shuts down and gives 7 flashes for the internal temperature error code. I followed the directions to diagnose via service bulletin NO:TV-10-018 which simply states to unplug the HLR board try it, if problem persists replaced BAL board, if problem is corrected replace the HLR board. It still had the same flash code so I ordered a BAL board and replaced it but I do not know how to get the latest software loaded to the tv. I can not do it via the menu because it will give me an error code on the screen. I followed the rest of the service adjustments in the service man |

When watching HD channel I was expecting the blue light on the receiver to illuminate as it did when it was connected to my old KD-30XS955. Have tried all the different settings on the TV with no luck. Any thoughts? John |
