| Television Troubleshooting | Sony KP-WT510 Convergence issue | vgp | 3 | 2009-10-29 10:13 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I have a Sony KP-46WT510 that was manufactured in October 2003. Everything works fine but now there appears to be a convergence issue. I have tried the flash focus and even the manual convergence but to no avail. What I found very odd is that during the convergence adjustment, the upper left and upper right corners are affected, no where else. I have uploaded a picture showing the upper left hand corner and only the BLUE appears "crooked" and there is nothing I can do to fix it. I do not want to get ripped off by a repair shop as the pictu |

| First 650 characters of this post | Maxx, thanks for the input on the SR12. I tend to mess around and experiment with the manual settings quite a bit. I find that while the HDR-SR12 has some manual controls, they are somewhat limited. There's some white balance adjustments and tweaks along with manual focus and exposure settings. However, there seems to be some limit to it's abiltity to capture subtleties of color especially in lower light situations. It is primarily a Hi-Def camcorder. I believe that I've read somewhere that it is actually a 5 MegaPix |
| Projector Series | SONY VPL-HW10 review | dragon53 | 1 | 2009-02-04 14:40 |
| First 650 characters of this post | It never ceases to amaze me how front-projection display quality continues to progress, while simultaneously dropping in price. Even the normally premium-priced line from Sony now has a very attractively-priced 1080p resolution SXRD projector, the recently introduced VPL-HW10, which starts the line just below the VPL-VW60. The new VPL-VW70 replaces the venerable "Ruby," or VPL-VW100, introduced a couple of years ago. Carrying a list price of $3,500, the VPL-HW10 is the least expensive SXRD Sony has yet introduced. It is not just a re-badged VPL-VW60 either. In fact, the new HW10 is superior in |

| Television Troubleshooting | KV30HS420 picture is dark after DZ board install | rmrusten | 6 | 2008-11-21 13:20 |
| First 650 characters of this post | Yep - that's the one I installed & I did buy it from the link you posted. I also replaced the HV wire to the CRT w/PN 1-900-805-19 (large red wire with large rubber end that seals to the tube). I reused the G2 & focus wires from the FBT to the CH board. The only thing to note is that I couldn't get the blue G2 lead out of the FBT so I pulled the insulation back as far as I could then cut the wire so it's probably 1/2 inch shorter that factory. The small red focus wire pulled out of FBT just fine. Neither wire was removed from the C |

| First 650 characters of this post | HATS is Sony's name for Audio Rate Control (ARC), which is a new function of HDMI in version 1.3a. Pioneer's name for this is PQLS, and is featured in their latest and greatest players and amps. This is conceptually the same function as HATS and PQLS that was implemented over firewire with the A&M protocol used in i-Link, as used by most mainstream manaufacturers for their best players and amps. The function is decribed in HDMI spec 1.3a Para 7.11: |

| First 650 characters of this post | There are plenty of high-def-capable camcorders available for under $1,000, but in my experience, it’s not so easy to find one that meets all your expectations. Up to now, my problem with the new breed of HD cams has been fear of the AVCHD format. Everything I’d read about AVCHD slammed its inferior picture quality as compared to HDV (the compression format used on tape-based HD cams). And then there was the Editing Issue: AVCHD support has so far been spotty in PC video-editing soft |

| First 650 characters of this post | I have a sony kp-51ws520 that I've never had serviced since I bought it around 11/2004. It has been flashing led lights before giving me a picture for a while (but I ignored not knowing that was a sign of service needed).Sunday night it was fine. Monday morning the blue color drifted from the rest of the colors causing a blue halo effect and with a nice yellow tint. I tried to flash focus but that didn't work. I went to the manual convergence screen and seemed only to make it worse or no effect when I tried adjusting the crosses (the crosses have a |

| Television Troubleshooting | Sony KP-61S75 Convergence Issue; Red Light Blinking 6-7 Times | ctkmd2003 | 2 | 2008-02-03 10:36 |
| First 650 characters of this post | Greetings all! I have a Sony KP-61S75 Projection TV that has convergence problems and blinks 6-7 times after being switched on. The set does power on and has picture + sound, however the convergence is way off (the colors are staggered almost as if one is seeing triple images). I have tried using the "Flash Focus" option 30 or more times to no avail. A bit of background on this tv: we obtained this set from a neighbor who was going to throw it out because it had a faulty G-board (the tv previously would not power on and would |
| Camera Troubleshooting | Manual focus adjustment on DSC-P200 | retkin | 2 | 2007-11-23 22:11 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I replaced the lens assembly in a DSC-P200. The camera works fine, but the manual focus distances are off. For example, to achieve good focus on far away objects, I need to set the manual focus distance to 1m. Autofocus works fine.Any suggestions on how to do the adjustment would be welcome. From the adjustments manual of the DSC-P52 (I don\'t have the adjustment manual of the DSC-P200) it seems that a \"flange back adjustment\" is needed to correct the focus. This adjustment needs Sony\'s SEUS software, which is protected by a HASP dongle. Does anybody have access |

| First 650 characters of this post | Greetings!
I have a Sony 51\" Rear projection TV and am having some trouble with it. The model number is KP51WS500.
When the screen is dark, I see red horizontal and curved lines that curve downwards. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with the TV and how to exactly fix it?
I was told that you have to adjust something, but I do not know what to adjust. I took the rear cover off along with the wood paneling, and saw that each light had a wing nut that you can loosen, then you can move the light up and down, which I assume focuses it.
If you could, please |
