| First 650 characters of this post | Found this online It appears that the he 78H appears to be the same as the US-model 77H. So it seems that there's no difference between the 77H & 78Ht.The DVP-NS77H has 192 KHz/16 bit Audio DAC/96 kHz/24 bit Digital Output. In a nutshell: Very HappyPurchased from local Target, $99.99 + Tax. Comes with remote, basic A/V cable. No HDMI cable supplied. Made in Malaysia. See link from previous posts of e-Manual for details.Since I've only become an owner of this newly released player for a few hours, I can't possibly give a very deta |

| First 650 characters of this post | Toli,As requested... here is my word on the KDF-37H1000.
I did not have to pay full price for the tv, I was given a depreciated value for the 32HV600 and just had to pay the difference which was about a couple of hundreds of dollars. Now I am not an LCD or Projection of any kind fan. However since the TV was going to be in a spare bedroom I did not mind shelling out the cash for this model. The 32HV600 was replaced with a 50\" plasma (yes I am in love). Now I know I am going to flamed but I still truely love that beutiful 3 |
| Television Troubleshooting | New KDF46E2000 Grainy HDTV, Wii question? | aawordy | 2 | 2007-04-26 10:47 |
| First 650 characters of this post | Hi everyone - Just bought a new KDF46E2000 yesterday at Circuit City for $989. I love it. I think I screwed it up though...I am running Comcast HD Motorola Cable box through HDMI. I went through the menu setup with the Motorola box off and set it to 1080i and then back to 720p...now both look terrible...It\'s grainy. It looked good to begin with, but now it\'s horrible. What did I do wrong? Is there a way to fix it or reset the options? Also, a couple of questions I have no clue about:

| First 650 characters of this post | I have a Sony SAT-HD300 that works flawlessly with the Directv end of it\'s receiving capability. The OTA tuner seemsto have a problem. It has difficulties finding and receivinganalog stations. The picture for the analog end is grainy andpoor at best. Then I called Sony and they took me thru the basicsincluding a NVRAM reset. No improvement. Then I noticed a extremely local channel I was able to get a good image and italso had an HDTV broadcast as well that came in great. | First 650 characters of this post | I was kind of thrown into the HD world when this TV arrived as an early Christmas present. My old TV was a 32\" tube TV which I have been using for about 6 years. Anyway, I hooked this big boy up to my cable and the picture is terrible(direct connection from wall to set). The picture was a little grainy with my old set, but now it looks bad magnified 100 fold! I called the cable company and they will be sending someone out, but even she said that the cable picture is analog even if you get the Digital/HD box that they offer. Should I be l |

| Television Troubleshooting | Poor SDTV image on KD34XBR906 | Stelco | 4 | 2005-02-23 16:47 |
| First 650 characters of this post | Just installed a new KD34XBR960 and the HDTV and DVD quality is spectacular. However the daytime SDTV image is very grainy and pixelated despite theTV indicating it is being broadcast in 480i 720 or even 1080i. This only appears to be a daytime vs. primetime issue; the same channel in primetime is crystal clear. I assume this is due to the stations broadcasting in SDTV during the day and HDTV during primetime. However I expect the digital picture (SDTV) quality to be better than the analog but it is not.Is there anything that can be done to improve the SDTV p |

| First 650 characters of this post | I have Cablevison IO, SA4200HD STB and a new Sony KDF50WE655.
HDTV channels, digital channels (IO) and DVDs are incredible.
Of course, I had the usual disapointment with the SD stuff (TBS #39 very grainy picture).
Switching to CH3 helped a little but a PITA.
So, I looked around at the cable installed in my house and found that there was a 3-way spiltter outside the house and the 3.5DB leg was going to a 9\" TV in our kitchen and one of the weaker legs was feeding my new Sony and 2 other TVs.!!!

| First 650 characters of this post | There was an earlier thread in respect of \"16:9 lock on KP-53HS10 when HD set to 1080i\"I currently receive 4 HDTV channels on my cable subscription. What I have done is when on those 4, hit \"TV/Video\" on the remote so that on those 4 channels, I do receive HDTV aspect ratio. However when on non-HDTV channels, if I stay in HDTV mode, the screen aspect ratio is compressed on all 4 sides. To address this problem, I hit \"Tv/Video\" again having set output to Video1 and then I have a full scrren for the non HDTV channels - onlu problem, grainy picture on th |

| First 650 characters of this post | Just received my new Sony KF42WE610 and it\'s plain and simple AMAZING!! The problem I am having is with the current HDTV programing.
1. HDTV programs look stunning however regular TV looks worse than the normal TV (grainy image).
2. Not all HDTV content is in 16:9 format. NBCHD, CBSHD and a few movies in STARZ/HBO have the side bars. You can change the setting using TV remote or the HDTV receiver but that stretches the image in all channels i,e its constant struggle with the remote/image.

| First 650 characters of this post | hi, I want to know if plasma hidef (or edtv) works for me.
my viewing habits are:
- I have Dish (dishnetwork) and mostly watch channels like cnn/abc/nbc/cbs...
- I watch DVD once in a month at the most.
Most of the stores have only DVD connected and the picture looks great. Yesterday i went to circuitCity and they have direcTv hooked up to a plasma (Res is 1024/760 or some thing like that). When I changed channel to the cbs/cnn etc it was very very grainy. I understand that the signal has to be converted to a hidef etc.
