| Television Troubleshooting | Sony KD-32fs170 Dead no lights no blinks | ntehicks | 10 | 2009-09-29 15:04 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I plug in the tv with the back off and I can hear a very faint click and then high pitch sound just for a second. then nothing. there is no lights, no sound. I have tested the main fuse on the board I think it is labeled F601. I also tested the fuseable resistor R646 and both test good. IC605 out of circuit the input test 5.7vdc in circuit 5.7 in and 4.3 out. I would expect input voltage to be 12-15v I have tested fh601 glass fuse and ps601,ps602,ps603,ps604,ps605, and ps401 they all test good. But I had to replaced ps401, and ps602. those two fuses were bad. |

| First 650 characters of this post | I have a KP53S65 television that has totally died. One of the high power lines, that lead into my home, shorted out. My 110 volt power had a significant drop in voltage. Unfortunately, my television was running at the time of power fluctuation. The picture was wavey followed by the T.V. shutting down. After the electrical power to my home was repaired, I tried to turn the T.V. on without success. Neither the remote nor the power button would work. When I opened the back of the set I found the F601 fuse had blown. After I replaced the fuse it blew again just by plugg |

| Television Troubleshooting | beloved kv27ts32 fuse/breaker? | jehill | 3 | 2007-07-07 19:26 |
| First 650 characters of this post | Welcome to Agoraquest! To the best of my knowledge, ALL Sony TV sets have at least one fuse. The kv27ts32 is no exception. If you remove the rear cover and follow the power cord into the chassis, you should see F601 nearby. It\'s a 6.3A, 125V fuse. Don\'t get your hopes up though. Fuses usually only blow if there is a downstream fault. I suspect that\'s the case here.[addsig] |

| Television Troubleshooting | KP-61V90 No Picture | 99leg | 3 | 2006-12-31 19:38 |
| First 650 characters of this post | Hello everyone,My first time posting here, lots of information on this site. Anyways, TV was working fine the other morning then wifey turns it off for about an hour or so. I went to turn it on again but no picture. Unplugged it for about 10 minutes, plugged it back in, sounds like the usual power up noise you hear when you first plug it in. Pressed power button but nothing is on. Tried remote, all buttons on TV, etc.....no diagnostics blinking on red light, light is constantly on. Pulled back cover, after unplugging it, checked F601 fuse and it is good. |

| Television Troubleshooting | KV-32XBR37 | jehill | 4 | 2006-07-12 14:38 |
| First 650 characters of this post | Welcome to Agoraquest! Remove the rear cover of the set. some where near where the power line comes into the set, you should see F601, a 125V 6.3A rated fuse. If its bad, it never hurts to try another fuse. If the second fuse blows, you have bigger problems. One thing that you might try is blowing/vacuuming all of the dirt out of set before you replace the fuse (assuming that its bad).[addsig] |
