| Television Troubleshooting | KV-36FS320 9-Blink Repair Question | Shep60 | 2 | 2009-11-19 22:41 |
| First 650 characters of this post | Ok, the original problem was the 9-blink issue. I could perform the input of (display-ch 5-neg vol-power) and the set would power on and give the diagnostic results. So, after reading the forum and downloading the service manual, I took a shot in the dark and re-soldered D690. I plugged up the power and now I still get the 9 blinks but can't perform the remote control diagnostics? I am trying to do this with the rear cabinet off as I didn't see any electrical disablers that would prevent the set from coming on with the rear cabinet off. |

| First 650 characters of this post | It’s natural to assume that technology-initiator Sony would be amarket leader in the player category, though the widespreadimplementation of the PS3 might be a bit of a shock. For those whoweren’t swayed towards using a video game machine as a high-definitionunit, Sony also wedged into the mix with their BDP-S350 and S550 models– both of which are excellent players. Naturally, Sony has followed uptheir previous line with the S360 and their step-up model reviewedhere, the S560. As with their other players, Sony’s BDP-S560 naturallystand up against the company’s versatile P |

| First 650 characters of this post | Welcome to Agoraquest! Is IC1506 one of the ICs that you replaced? If not, you might try replacing it. Other than that, we need more information. Try pressing the following buttons on the remote within a second of each other while the set is in standby (off with the remote): DISPLAY, Channel 5, VOL -, POWER. This will bring up the Self-diagnosis screen. Write down the information provided for any error with a number other than 000 after it. |

| Television Troubleshooting | KP-46WT520 Screen turns red, then turns off, then 6 blinks | spacecase | 4 | 2009-08-03 08:45 |
| First 650 characters of this post | Howdy, Screen of KP-46wt520 suddenly turned Red while watching a dvd. So I turned it off, unplugged it for a few minutes. At first the KP-46WT520 would turn on as soon as i plugged it in, then the screen would fade into a solid red, and then the T.V. would turn itself off in few seconds. While off (or standby), the led would blink six times. It does this every time I turn it on. I ran the self diagnoses that Claudio posted, (Display+Ch.5+Volume Down+Power) but it is hard to read it in time before the T.V. shuts off. Here is what i think it showed; B+OCP |
| Amp/Receiver/Speakers/Connections/Cables | Clarity sound from SONY ES VS Onkyo | SergeantYnot | 3 | 2009-07-20 11:05 |
| First 650 characters of this post | First off, Sony's prices are pretty similar (if not overpriced) to Onkyo. Onkyo's flagship receiver is $2,300; compared to Sony's $2,500 model. You should know that Onkyo is considered the "best bang for your buck" in terms of price-to-features ratio. Features like THX Ultra 2 Plus, HD Radio, ISF calibration, and network connectivity are usually found on competing AVRs, like Denon and Pioneer, might be double their cost (with the exception that ISF is only found on Onkyo). I almost recently purchased the Onkyo TX-906 AVR for its toroidal amplifier wh |

| Television Troubleshooting | Can I use my tv while in the service menu? | lisalu | 5 | 2009-06-23 18:38 |
| First 650 characters of this post | HelloThank you for your response.I haven\'t run a self-diagnostic test, as I am not proficient in repairing tvs. I\'m just thrilled that after digging deeply, I found this site and that I can turn the tv on using the display-5-vol+-power. I guess I\'ll have to bring it in for repairs... Unless I can find instructions on how to repair it myself... but it sounds like it\'s out of my league. So you don\'t think I\'ll blow something by using it in service mode though? |
