Hi folks I am new to the forums and I did a bit of searching before I decided to post my question. I have a str-k670p that I just got at a pretty good price used. I was wondering about the best way to set it up for gaming...well what would be the best mode. I have all of my systems setup through optical which I do have to switch out since there is only one input. I just cant figure out what setting to put it on to get 5.1 and the best sound from my games. I have a ps3 and a 360 and the settings are set on the system for 5.1 but on the receiver it will scroll across saying 2 channel sometimes b
Okay, so I\'ve been a huge fan of this musical artist for like, 9 years. In 2001, she puts out her 4th album on DVD-A format (okay, I used the dirty word, get over it). Only recently did I buy a HT-DDW670 \"home theater in a box\" and I was finally able to listen to the disc in DD and DTS 5.1, but no MLP. My first experience with all this was my CD sound set (still with me) that has Dolby Prologic and surround sound (it decodes the old 3 channels encoded in 2 stereo channels...not a big deal, but amazing if you havent heard it before!). I wanted to have a top of the line Home Theater, but afraid of spending too much I decided to start with a small Sony STR-K670P. I have seen other posts where&
Welcome to Agoraquest! The differences in the power ratings are due to differences in how the power must be measured in different countries. Both the 100 watt US and your 85 watt ratings are at 6 ohms 1 kHz, THD 10% for all but the subwoofer. The subwoofer is 6 ohms 100 Hz, THD 10%. 10% total harmonic distortion is awfully high for power measurements. Increasing the THD level increases the number. For the US model, the following STEREO rating is provided:\"With 6 ohm loads, both channels driven, from 120 - 20,000 Hz; rated 60 wa
