| Television Troubleshooting | Screen Problems with KV-32XBR50 | blue2004STi | 3 | 2009-05-18 19:09 |
| First 650 characters of this post | Hello all,New to the site, so sorry if I violate some courtesies. I have a Sony Trinitron KV-32XBR50 tv that was my parents. They bought it quite a while ago and just yesterday started having problems with it. Two nights ago my roommates wanted to watch a dvd, they used my PS2 hooked into the Video 1 input. He came to me the next day saying after a while the screen when black. I shrugged it off because I had just watched TV earlier on it. Well I was watching the Rockies and went to my room, came back and the screen w |
| Television Troubleshooting | Is My Sony Wega KV-40XBR800 Dead? | SirLoin | 3 | 2009-04-13 16:46 |
| First 650 characters of this post | Based on what I've read here on the Agoraquest forums my seven year old Sony Wega KV-40XBR800 whose stand-by light is blinking seven times (sometimes only six times) is basically going to cost more to repair than what it is worth (it cost $2,849.99 in october of 2002). Does everyone agree? Is there a market for the 400 pound doorstop? I can't imagine trying to move it let alone ship it somewhere. My previous Sony Trinitron CRT hasn't died after 22 years (as far as I know, I gave it away three months ago) what a shame that new technology doesn't last! It will |

| First 650 characters of this post | I have a 7-year old Sony Trinitron TV (Model 36XBR400). I originally had the problem of the TV not powering on with 4 or 7 red light blinks on the front. After reading some of the posts here with the same problem, I decided to replace IC8002 and IC6501 on the D board. I also installed sockets for these ICs as well. After replacing those components, the TV seemed to be working fine for about an hour and a half. After that, the picture went out while I was watching it. Now, I have sound and no picture (with no blinking red light). This al |

| First 650 characters of this post | Last November I purchased a fully loaded Dell XPS420 PC that includes a Blu-Ray drive. In March I purchased a Sony HDR-SR12 HandyCam with the expectation that I could save movies to Blu-Ray discs. I purchased a couple of Sony BD-RE discs and formatted them with Windows Vista Ultimate. I now have two UDF 2.5 formatted BD-RE discs that I can drag and drop files and folders to. I copied the AVCHD folder on the HandyCam to one of the discs. None of the following Sony software features work with the BD-RE disc with the files: 1. One Touch Disc Burn - Formats a blank DVD |

| First 650 characters of this post | Its probably about as good as its going to get with the chinsy speakers that I have. There is an old saying that you get what you pay for. In my case, I purchased Dell's WL6000 5.8GHz Wireless Rear 5.1 Speaker System for less than $100. It actually does sound pretty good. At least I have surround sound! The center channel is attached to the bottom of my 27" wide screen LCD display and the L and R channels are immediately to the left and right of the same display. The wireless rear channels are combined in one unit that has the s |

| First 650 characters of this post | I've had my Sony kv-34xbr910 since, I think, February 2004. I bought the 3 year extended warranty, and now that the warranty is up, my tv doesn't work. I noticed about 2 weeks ago that after you turned the power on, that you would have to hit power a second time to get it to come on. Then, last Friday morning, the day after Thanksgiving, it wouldn't come on. I unplugged everything, slid the beast close enough to the wall to plug it directly and tried......nothing. My father-in-law finally got it on by turning it on/off repeatedly until h |

| First 650 characters of this post | In our Trinitron 36\" XBR, the PIP suddenly appeared on the lower right of the screen. Our universal remote did not have a PIP button. I bought a Sony RM-V210 universal remote with a PIP button. I pushed the PIP button and the screen split into two images. I pressed enter and got the 9 images on the screen.
I can\'t seem to make the PIP disappear.[ This message was edited by: calman on 2007-11-18 00:08 ] |

| First 650 characters of this post | Hi there,
I am new to owning a Sony TV and recently bought one used I had no idea how bad the set was and it turns off by itself quite frequently (it does not turn itself back on). I am not sure if I can fix this myself as I am not very experienced in electronics.
I\'ve got a KV-36XBR400 36\" Trinitron from 2000.
The standby light flashes 11 times before the picture comes back on, the sound comes back after 4 flashes.
If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated. This is my first time owning such a big screen and I really would like to |
