| First 650 characters of this post | hi iam new and need help ive got a pdm5000 or kde 50xbr900 and media box mbt-mr1 which is flashing 6 times (media box flashing not tv) i just bought a media box mbd-mrx1 plugged it all in and doesnt fire up tv are they compatable? the old media box will turn on if you keep pressing standby x amount of times please help it has a great picture and would be a shame to give up now please help .nick |

The first one is the continental version, the latter the UK-version.There are also some USA/CND variants which work in conjunction with your panel type, but they could not receive off-air signals or analogue cable signals in UK. However this, it is possible to use these models if you only use external inputs (SCART, RCA, Y/C, component etc.), eg. with a cable settop box or satellite receiver. | First 650 characters of this post | Hi,I have a WEGA TV with a MBD-MRX1 digital receiver made by Sony/Ondigital. When we try to update the digital channels it gets to 38% then hangs for ever. The signal is excellent and all cables are fine. I called Sony and they confirmed that there was a problem with the set and that because it was made by Ondigital (Who went bust) that they offer limited support. They confirmed that it needed a firmware update and gave me a number of a local firm. I was wondering if anyone has the firmware or know where I can get it as it will save £100. Many thanks O |
