| First 650 characters of this post | hello , My Sony KV-27FS100L is having troubles ,its old('03 ) but works well. Its now having trouble turning on ,but it will and the picture is great. I have the service manual ,there are two issues ,2 blinks +B OCP, and 4 blinks V stop . It takes 2 or 3 time to turn it on then it works great. I was going to replace the parts the manual suggests but I figure I would ask first to see anybody else has done this. The service manual for 4 blinks replace IC 545, +13v not supplied, 2 blinks replace Q505 ,IC1751.I left it unplug all day but |

| First 650 characters of this post | I turned my kv-27fs100l on last week and the picture looked like someone had taken a magnet to it. The standby/timer light flashes 4 times and will not turn on until I hit the button again - then it will turn on, but constantly blinks 17 times, pause, repeat. It's been unplugged and off for about 1.5 weeks.I decided to give it another shot today and it does the same thing, except the picture is fine now, like it somehow fixed itself. I was going to toss it to the curb tomorrow and buy a new one, but i'm thinking it might have fixed itself? What is going on h |

| First 650 characters of this post | Hi everyone,I'm trying to repair a KV-27FS100L that gives 4 blinks with no raster. The HOT had a base-collector and a collector-emitter short. I also found a zener diode that appeared to have opened. I replaced both of these, and then when I powered up the TV I heard arcing. I couldn't really tell where it was coming from, but it sounded like a steady sizzle, not a distinct pop. I suspect internal arcing within the flyback, but I don't see anything visible on the housing (bulging or cracks). The HOT is now dead again |

The front LED blinks 5 times in a row over and over again. When powering up, the normal relay sounds are present and static can be felt from the screen.If you look very close during power up, I can see a faint picture before it shuts down and the LED begins blinking 5 times in a row over and over.I resoldered the flyback and a few high voltage connections as I understand that is a common place to start though have not had any l |

We recently bought a Magnasonic DVD Player but I cannot get the Sony Remote to work with it because I cannot program it without a manufacturer\'s code for Magnasonic. AKA the TV that Sony decided to change the names of almost all the parameters in the service menu.
