| First 650 characters of this post | Firstly, hello all. I am a newly registered member!Right here is my problem, I hope someone can help.I bought a secondhand dead DCR-105 camera thinking it would be an easy fix, which it was....sort of. when I got it nothing worked except the screen powered up on full zoom. The flash DID pop up when the lense cap was left on.I took it to bits, found a ribbon cable that was not seated correctly, put it all back together and presto! fully working camera.....except the flash no longer popped up!I bought the service manual and read that you need to de0charge the capasitor by |

| Camera Troubleshooting | DSC-S30 Code E:91:01 | BigMack | 2 | 2004-11-01 20:29 |
| First 650 characters of this post | S30 battery wouldn\'t charge. Per Web advise, I completly discharged battery & then it charged to normal capacity. Then I got \"the code\" E:91:01 & the flash doesn\'t operate. I don\'t think it worked after the battery discharge. The flash icon blinks on the monitor. The camera works fine but no flash. HELP |
| Camera Troubleshooting | DSC-S50 RESET (E:91:01) ERROR PLEASE HELP | colacola | 2 | 2004-08-23 23:57 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I really hope someone out there can help me - I opened up my DSC-S50 camera to fix the mode switch - that is now fixed but when I put the thing back together I am getting the flash error code E:91:01 - I have seen the thread about reproggramming the camera using interface but I hope this is not necessary since the flash should be working - is there a way to reset the camera - or could one of the 5 fuses be blown - does anyone know which one is for the flash if any? I don\'t want to desolder and remove them all if it\'s nothing to do with these. Also there is a component on the top |

OK, well thanks anyway, Duncan. All of these things are possible, i\'m sure, just none if it is very well documented. Just phoned Sony-uk about this stuff, and although the will flog me the service manuals, they say theres no reference to any LANC interface in any of them....
Actually, they are quite cagey about what is and itsn\'t posible, which makes be more convinced it can be done.
