Recommended after display the search results. I would open the links in a new window. Read the postings and when done close the window. And open the next posting that you want to read in a new window, close that window and repeat. This is probably the most efficient way.

Also, try the new Google Search which searches the entire Agoraquest website. Click here

For Televisions issues, red/green blinking lights, vertical lines, D Board, Lamp Driver and more.
I would vist our "Frequently Asked Questions for Sony Products" forum and read the "Television Trouble Shooting Information Packages" thread. There are several service bulletin packages that can help resolve those issues.
For Televisions issues with blue, green, optical block, extending warranty or other related issues
I would visit our new Sony Alert/Warranty recall section at Sony Recall/Warranty Section

First 650 characters of this postI believe it is passive- no power cord. It's a Bose Acoustimass 5 Series III. http://www.amazon.com/Bose-Acoustimass-Speaker-System-theater/dp/B000069E1HI was thinking of buying a used one and brought it home to test before purchasing.I tried to use an RCA Y cable and clipped the ends off the Y end to use as speaker leads. It doesn't work. I was skeptical that it would because of the different cable; wire+ground instead of single wire. The receiver will not let me set the sub to "yes". Probably because it is not recognizing a connection

First 650 characters of this postmjm-ny~ Joe is usually only on here at night but maybe I can help... Bose does a fantastic job of advertising...It sells a lot of speakers What they don't do is the key...First off they dance around the facts, and won't offer frequency response figures for their speaker packages...Reason is they are not very good... I read your other thread about your DE435 failure...Are you connecting the Bose Cubes directly to the receiver...or are you going thru the bass module first ? If you are connecting the cubes directly to the receiver...That

First 650 characters of this postI have my Velodyne 8" minivee connected to my Sony STR-DA5300ES receiver and I need to know the best set up configuration for optimal bass performance. Per my Sony, I selected the surround sound speakers to "SMALL" in the speakers menu and it allowed me to adjust the bass crossover frequency from 40 Hz to 120 Hz. In the back of the subwoofer it also has an adjustable knob for bass crossover frequency from 40 Hz to 120 Hz. My surround sound speakers system is the Bose Acoustimass 10 Seriess II, which does come with a subwoofer. According to its manua
Getting Started/Building a Home TheaterCan we combine old speakers with new HD DVD Home Theatre System?pambri82007-11-11 19:41
First 650 characters of this postHelp might be in too deep! Bought new Bravia 52\" LCD 1080 wanted to upgrade Home Theatre System and purchased HDC267W to replace old Sony DVD and Sony5 Disc CD changer and Sony STR-DE935 Receiver. We thought one unit vs 3 would be great. However, we would like to still use our BOSE Acoustimass-7 surround sound speakers/sub...is it possible? Going from a zillion connectors in the back of the DE 935 to a few in the HDC267W, does not look possible. Also my hubby is questioning the ohms...Bose are 4-8ohms. Any help is greatly appreciated, we can still return the HDC2

First 650 characters of this postIt\'s back with Sony now - it\'s been running in their labs now for a week continuously (under load) and no clicking . My gut feel is that when I bring it home again it\'ll start clicking. I guess I\'ll have to do that, but this time when it starts I\'ll remove the covers and see if I can localise exactly where the noise is coming from (it seems like from the rear left corner of the casing). There was a question as to whether my Bose Acoustimass 10 (Serie

First 650 characters of this postclaudio,You have probably already purchased your new AV Receiver, but if you have not, I can certainly praise the Sony STR-DB2000 which I own. I use it to drive Bose Acoustimass 10s for the 5.1 surround sound, and also via speakers B a pair of Monitor Audio Gold60s. All sound great. The selection of inputs is ideal for my use as I user every one including the phono. Hope this helps

First 650 characters of this postSteve, I gave that a shot. Before I get into those results, I need to clarify one thing. I do not have a Sony surround sound speaker system. I used to have that but I upgraded to \"The Bose Acoustimass 15 Home Theater Speaker System\". Sorry for the confusion. Also for completeness, the Sony DVD player I have is the DVP-S500D.Anyway, I feel REALLY stupid now! While trying what you suggested with turning off the subwoofer and then running auto cal again, I noticed that the sound coming out of the center speaker was very low and much differe

First 650 characters of this postWell Guys.....I was helping another friend today..... Setting up his new Denon 1906 with his BOSE Acoustimass.. I tried my best to talk him out of the Bose before he bought....but I guess he got sold by the demo......This may not be a fair comparison of the Denon to Sony with the Acoustimass as the sound producing devices.....but......I have always read how much better Denon is than Sony.......Now that I have had a full afternoon of setup a

First 650 characters of this post

From what I\'ve been reading in these posts (great info btw), it seems the STR-DE995 really isn\'t much of an amplifier. I\'ve had mine for nearly 2 years now and in order to get sound (movies, cable tv, or music) I have to crank the volume level into the low 40s and sometimes 50s just to get sound. I\'ve got 6.1 enabled and am using the Bose satellite speakers w/ the acoustimass 15.1 (?). I\'ve read the Bose instructions which indicate the small satellite speakers should be identified in the STR-DE995 as large.&am

First 650 characters of this postThe Sony receiver STR-DA1000 connects to BOSE Acoustimass 15. It plays good for cd and dvd if the volumn is not very loud. When I turn the volumn loud, after a while it went to \"protected\" and shut down. If I wait for the next day and everything go back to normal. The unit is not really hotI searched the forum and see some people said switching wires can fix the problem. I cannot switch wires since my Bose speaker came with the wire. I have a friend said they had the same problem. Someone changed the threshold for them to fix the problem. However, they don\'t know how

First 650 characters of this postYes, it has been defect free since I bought it. (Knock on wood)I read somewhere, if not here. Sony has identification stickers on the box if it is a newer release model of the units. Something like a white dot sticker with an \"A\" on it with several other dot stickers.I have it connected to a DVPCX-777ES(Component), SAT-T60(S-Video upconvert), Xbox(S-video upconvert), PS2(S-video upconvert) and KF-50XBR800(Component).I first drove the receiver with Bose Acoustimass 15\'s. Then when to Polk Monitor 50\'s, Monitor 30\'s and Csi3. First 650 characters of this postRegarding my speakers, I have a Bose Acoustimass 5 Series II, and I bought the Bose VCS-10 for the center to make a 6.1 system. I\'ll hook one of the cubes into the center position to eliminate the VCS-10 as the problem. The problem is definitely not a matter of raising the db of the center. I moved it up +10db and that did not really help with the \"muffled\" problem. One source of help said this, and I have not yet tried to find it in the menus: \"verify you have the digital input you are using set to theauto mode, that is going to let AFD work right. First 650 characters of this postI have a bose acoustimass speaker set hooked up to a brand new Sony 3000ES receiver. When I switch tv channels or dvd from a non-5.1 to a 5.1 source, I usually get severe static (I think called white noise) from the surrounds, which goes away (usually) if I turn the receiver off and then on. This usually happens when I have a 5.1 source, turn channel or goes to commercial that is not 5.1 and then go back to 5.1. Happens with DVD and television. When it is working properly it sounds great. What could be the problem, and how do I solve this???THanls

First 650 characters of this postI\'m new here. This site is great. Just entered the world of HD/home theater and had some ?\'s. I just bought allnew components- Sony 34\" KVHS420, Sony receiver STR-DE997, Sony dvd/cd player DVP- NC675P, and speakers Sony SA-VE367T. No sound coming from subwoofer during tone tests. I went out and bought a monster SW cable and still no sound. I\'m sending the SW back. Will these speakers do the job? I\'m not looking to win any awards with my home theater, I just want to enjoy movies/music. Am I better off getting a front speaker/sub combo like Bose Acoustimass 3 series or Cambridge moviewo
