Keyword Tips If you are search for "50we610 blinking" try "we610 blinking". If you search for "5 blinking" try "five blinking". If you search for "Sony KDF-55wf655" try "55wf655" or better yet "wf655". Try searching with general search term first and then add more specific keywords to narrow it down.

Recommended after display the search results. I would open the links in a new window. Read the postings and when done close the window. And open the next posting that you want to read in a new window, close that window and repeat. This is probably the most efficient way.

Also, try the new Google Search which searches the entire Agoraquest website. Click here

For Televisions issues, red/green blinking lights, vertical lines, D Board, Lamp Driver and more.
I would vist our "Frequently Asked Questions for Sony Products" forum and read the "Television Trouble Shooting Information Packages" thread. There are several service bulletin packages that can help resolve those issues.
For Televisions issues with blue, green, optical block, extending warranty or other related issues
I would visit our new Sony Alert/Warranty recall section at Sony Recall/Warranty Section

Television TroubleshootingTriState Module Reference Requestdartmouth22009-07-23 20:20
First 650 characters of this postHas anyone used TriState Module to have their light engine rebuilt? If so have, what steps did you take and what process did you use to repair the TV. Sony already replaced my KDF 60XS955 TV (with a check for $850) due to the blue haze issue. I now have more blue dots than Smith Brothers has cough drops. So I'm thinking of spending $300 to have a rebuilt one rather than a new one for $600 from Sony. So anyone who wants to reply I look forward to hearing your opinions and experience.

First 650 characters of this postI had the same problem with my sony wega 55 inch LCD.It started with blue dots at the left corner, then went to the right, then went downward.I got the tv from Aaron's rental 18 months ago, new, right out of the box.I had 6 payments left,so it was still under warranty,Thank GOD.I have the bill,it was 550.00 for the part, and 175.00 for labor. They replaced the optictcal block. It's fine now. There is a flaw in these tv's.The lamp is too close to the optcal block. It gets to hot and burns it out. They also cleaned out the little fan inside. The fan collects dust, but you would have to take the tv half apar

First 650 characters of this postThe blue is only along the left edge, tapers from maybe 3 inches at the bottom to nothing about 1/2 way up.  I dont remeber it before I chaged the lamp.  I also have some small blue dots, they are visible only at startup on the blank screen.
    Television TroubleshootingOPTI BLOCK QUESTIONdartmouth42009-02-23 10:27
First 650 characters of this postI want to fix my opti block problem with a cheaper possibly reconditioned one. I read sometime ago that this part was available through an aftermarket company. Does anyone know who and where to contact this mfg supplier? I have a KDF60XS955 with blue haze an blue dots. I took advantage of the Sony replacement warranty and bought their 52" at a discounted price however want to fix the problem on my tv with a less costly opti block. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks,Dartmouth

First 650 characters of this postI believe it is. I would call Sony and they will get you the number of local authorized repair people. They will be able to determine if that is the caused. But from reading your post, it looks like it's it.Here is what some of the LCD screen looks like, it's either a blue haze or dots

The dots do not get bigger... we just seem to be getting moreand more dotsin the same general area (middle of the screen just off tothe lower left of center). First 650 characters of this postWe have the Sony KDF-42WE655 which has the blue dot/blob issue. It is being replaced with a new set under the Sony "Special Consideration" extended warranty program. Sony told us that they donot want the faulty set back. It's ours to use or be disposed of. What I would like to know is wether there might be any useful life left in the KDF-42WE655. With the high cost ($1,000) involved to repair this, it certainly isn't worth  doing. At this point the blue dots ar

First 650 characters of this post  My KDF 50WE655 Wega model was experiencing  the dreaded blue dots and blobs. Thanks to this website and forum I found others, who going back to 2004, had experienced this same issue and I begin to read the 10 pages of nightmares about Sony not wanting to fix the problem.  Toward the end of the threads, Sony begin to agree to address the problem.  I called Customer Service and had a reference number in 5 minutes because I was given the service notice by this forum.   They gave me the name of a authorized service tech and I called with th

First 650 characters of this postSo I know I\'ve posted this several times, but the lines are now up to 3.  It started with one and it seems everyday a new one pops up.  There are dotted lines running horizontally across the screen.  The dots are multi-colored (pink, green, white, blue).  I can\'t seem to find a single thing that adresses this problem.  Anyone have a clue?ThanksNate [ This message was edited by: nam1206

First 650 characters of this postHi,I have a plasma KE-32TS2E about 4 years old.  Some days ago the image began to show dark dots, some of them blueish or yellowish.  It happens only when the picture is bright and of high contrast, forming like shadows alltogether.  The problem reduces when the contrast is lowered and disappears completely for darker images.  The dark dots are allways in exactly the same position and aren\'t re

First 650 characters of this postOur Sony is not even a year old. We are not sure what is going wrong with it. We started to notice dots surounding images (people and writing) in commercials. It usually occured when the background is white. Just today, we noticed it during a cartoon that my son was watching. The dots are blue and red and are not always there but when they are, it is quite annoying. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Because the warranty only covers parts, we are not sure if it is worth getting fixed. Any information you would have would be appreciated. Thanks,Mark

I must admit to some placement \"engineering\" as I was shifiting off the 9000 to the 7100 receiver. The Celestion 7000s have a wood base, with metal points to set right on the wood flooring that

First 650 characters of this posti took the front panel off my self the other day just to see what the guy did, I re-moved the retrace lines all by myself very finely by hand in a dark room with the proper brightness and contrast settings the only issue I have is with the focus voltages, maybe I shouldnt of moved those, but they\'re off now by default anyways since the blue voltage had to be toned down to remove the retrace lines. once you adjust any one of those 6 prongs the 5 others arent likely to be in sync right? after many trial any errors I basically figured that, get the focus messed up on the kno

As for the color tint, that could be due to too much brightness/contrast. Have you used a reference DVD like Avia or Digital Video Essentials (DVE) to adjust your TV properly? Also, being a projector, there could be some light reflecting inside, causing an overall glow that\'s most obvious with a black background. thank you for responding!
