| First 650 characters of this post | I have a KP-53XBR45 that displays vertical scrolling color lines, no picture. If i select PIP, then i get a picture in PIP but it is not clear and i cannot SWAP. If i SWAP then the larger screen has vertical scrolling color lines, no picture. I have tried connecting my cable box to all inputs with no change. Any ideas? |

| First 650 characters of this post | Hmmmm. Usually when it\'s constant it\'s the bulb. Not sure with that model. I did a search and couldn\'t find much on a constant blinking standby light. I\'m surprised the company put the television down during the move. This could cause issues. Do you have the service manual for this television?

| First 650 characters of this post | I have Sony KP-53XBR45 for almost 10 years without any troubles. On last Sunday morning, I can't turn on the TV. I pushed the power bottom from the remote, heard one click, the timer/standby red light blinked once, then heard another one click, no audio/video. I unplug the power for more than 4 hours, hoped it will reset the TV. It didn't fix it, the same problem. Appricate any helps before calling service repair people. |

I fixed the middle of the screen with the menu convergence, but the left and right sides appear bowed now. There is no way to adjust this with the normal menu.My kids was just watching it and it got this way and not sure how it got this way.I know how to get to the service menu, but i do not know which options can adjust the convergence on the sides.Does anything think I can just adjust this convergence? The standby/timer light on the front of the tv stays red and doesn\'t blink and then goes out when the tv turns off. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on places to look for problems. Also when the tv turns off there is faint crackling coming from around the projector guns. Originally I thought it was the G board, so I replaced IC652 and the 470uF cap, but the problem still exist. Thanks in advance for any help! |
