Keyword Tips If you are search for "50we610 blinking" try "we610 blinking". If you search for "5 blinking" try "five blinking". If you search for "Sony KDF-55wf655" try "55wf655" or better yet "wf655". Try searching with general search term first and then add more specific keywords to narrow it down.

Also, try the new Google Search which searches the entire Agoraquest website. Click here

For Televisions issues, red/green blinking lights, vertical lines, D Board, Lamp Driver and more.
I would vist our "Frequently Asked Questions for Sony Products" forum and read the "Television Trouble Shooting Information Packages" thread. There are several service bulletin packages that can help resolve those issues.
For Televisions issues with blue, green, optical block, extending warranty or other related issues
I would visit our new Sony Alert/Warranty recall section at Sony Recall/Warranty Section

    Television TroubleshootingKP-57ws520 Need new G-Board!geosen22009-11-15 23:00
First 650 characters of this postI have the KP-57WS520 and it developed the 9-blink issue. I read the posts here and ordered the two replacement diodes for the G-board. I used a solder gun to heat the diodes while waiting because I read that soldering, or applying heat, can help. It did help and the tv worked normal for several weeks. When it developed the 9-blinks again, I had the parts already. The D6301 was no problem but the D6116 worried me because it is so small. I asked a friend with a lot of soldering experience to help. He took the board but while working on it, lost the diode. I ordered another one. How

First 650 characters of this postWelcome to Agoraquest!  For the KDFE42A10, 6 blinks, pause, 6 blinks, etc. means \"Low B error\" and the probable cause location listed is \"B_12V is not supplied (GT board).  In case you want to try replacing the GT board, the part number is A-1113-732-A.  The part doesn\'t appear to be available from Sony, but you might try www.tristatemodule.com.  Be aware that the thermal fuse may have blown due to inadequate cooling.  This could be caused by poor electrical connections to one of the fans or a clogged o

First 650 characters of this postI have a Sony KDL40S2010 USA television with the led blinks 4 times.I did some troubleshooting on the inverter board 1-789-500-32 and checked okay, then I checked the output voltage on the G2 board and I measured about 1.5vac. I believe I need to replace the G2 board the service manual calls for part no A1169591E but the board that is in my tv is A1169591F. I have seen vendors selling power supplys for kdl40S2010 with letters C, D, E, and F.Can I use any one of these boards?

First 650 characters of this postIf you are seeing 3 blinks, pause, 3 blinks, etc. from the red standby light, it means that either the lamp module isn\'t firmly seated or that the lamp door isn\'t securely closed.  If the lamp door is warped, that\'s due to overheating.  You may be able to reshape it with a hair dryer, but that\'s not the real solution.  You should obtain the \"Lamp door warped and possible no power condition/KDFxxWE655, KFxxWE610, KFxxWE620\" information package if your model number is listed.  It addresses inadequate cooling issues t

Now I have: "Five blinks - AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video. First 650 characters of this postSony KF-50WE610 is 5 years old. Lamp has been replaced 3 times. Now on turn on it blinks green 6 times, switches to blinking to red 6 times pauses 3 sec and repeats. By clicking the on button it goes back to blinking green then back to red and repeating this procedure it eventually latches on. This time period is taking longer now but still able to come on eventually. But my girl friend did this for 1/2 hour at one time and got to stay on.Can I get help before it blows up?

First 650 characters of this postHelloI have the KF50WE610 since 2004 with no problems until now...tv shuts down after few minutes and power light blinks 6 times. I bought a thermal fuse(part# 157695111, the size of a dime) from sony, removed the fan, removed the A/V, removed the optical unit, removed the second fan but I don't find the thermal fuse. I'm planing to change the thermal fuse first and then the G1 board(this is what I read in this forum). I'm not technical so please I'll need details. Thank you

First 650 characters of this postI have a KF60DX100 and finally replaced the lamp after 21,000 hours. However the new lamp has created another problem.First the tv comes on for about 30 seconds then cycles off "no sound or light", the led light blinks 5 times. It does this cycle once or twice more then the TV works perfect for the rest of the day until it is turned off and the cycle returns. I noticed that the lamp temp was only 36~38 and then turns off. It seems that when the lamp temp exceeds 43 it works without a hitch. Any ideals of the cause. Thanks for the forum. Most helpful for maintainin

First 650 characters of this postThought I'd ask one more time before getting a fork lift to remove my Sony to the recycling yard. My 40 inch XBR800 tube will not turn on. It's been a fantastic set up till now and I am hating to loose it. But I tried one thing and it worked to get the set back on and it was crazy, using a leaf blower to blow the dust out from the back. Plugged it in and it turned on. Then the TV got turned off by mistake and now no matter how I use the blower it will not come on again. 7 blinks. Some one on this site mentioned using a lamp dimmer from Lowes' to increase the power to the set to get it to

First 650 characters of this postHello everyone, I have Sony KV-32HS510 model. It will not turn on and the red light is blinking 6 times. Can someone please let me know what may be wrong. I read different posts and it seems that for some models 6 blinks mean that something is wrong with the Thermal fuse or D Board. But thats for different models I was wondering if anyone knows what 6 blinks may mean for KV-32HS510. Thanks for your help in advance.

First 650 characters of this postHi!  Thanks in advance for your time.  Here's my story: I've got a Sony KP-61SH10.  It started shutting down and blinking 5 times on the front.   I removed the 'D' board to check for bad solder joints, all seemed very good so I reinstalled 'D' board.  I accidentally plugged one of the connectors (CN517) one pin off center (bad lighting conditions).  Anyway, a lamp on the 'D' board (NL8001) flashed and I unplugged it right away.  The connector I misaligned was sending +5V to ground and -5V to the output of t

First 650 characters of this postMy KV-40XBR800 would not power on yesterday, last night it did, this morning it was blinking 7 times, pause, blink 7. I did some googleing and heard to to do a hard reset by unplugging for 4 hrs. After 8 hours when plugged back in the set flashed white snow, went horizontal then gave a 4 blink code. I let the set sit for another 1/2 hr and tried agin, it flashed white snow again, went horizontal but is now back to blinking 7, pause, blinking 7. I originally suspected the D board based on what I have read in the FAQ's but am now wondering with the Vert stop issue as indicated by the blink 4.

First 650 characters of this postmy sony KP-53HS30 standby/timer light blinks 6 times.  I was told the thermal fuse and the board next to it must be replaced...$400...since I had the STK chips replaced 8 months ago at the same cost, I decided to simply replace the set with a 1080p lcd.  Question: if I replace the thermal fuse myself w/o changing the board do I stand a chance at it working for any length of time for the kids game room??  before i simply put it out on the curb??  $12 fuse try before junking??? Am I crazy??Thnx in advance, theplayersamigo

First 650 characters of this postKF-42WE610 - Picture and sound for 20 seconds and then 5 blinking lightsLike many others, I have a KF-42WE610 TV that started giving the Power/Standby 5 blink code. I turn on my TV and everything seems normal as I have both picture and sound.  Then, after 20 seconds or so, my TV loses both picture and sound for several seconds and then everything comes back to normal for 20 seconds or less. This would repeat until I powered off the TV. During this time my Power/Standby light remains green. When I power off the TV, the Power/Standby light blink
