If Windows XP is the only operating system installed on your computer, booting into Safe Mode with these instructions.
If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power
Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a \"keyboard error\" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
Ensure that the Safe mode option is selected.

I would run the self diagnostic test which can be seen in the Frequently Asked question section. Also, are there any other visible issue that you see around the lamp area. I think this model is prone to warp door for the lamp door due to the heat. Could be the lamp driver but not entirely sure on that. I would check the lamp area.

| First 650 characters of this post | 2366 hours seem very low. Generally lamp hours are between 6000 to 8000 before they need to be replaced. Looks like it\'s power cycling which is an issue with either the lamp driver or lamp bulb. I would try a couple of things. I would run the self diagnostic test which can be seen in the Frequently asked Question thread. This should help determine what the issue is. But usually the first option is to replace the bulb. do you have the service manual? I can check it tonight to see. If you do order the D Board. I would jsut order that since the other two parts you do have and can always order later. It can\'t be guranteed that replacing the D board will fix your problem. The D board is about $150 and can be ordered here

Another option is to get a refurbhished D Board from Tristate Module. I\'m guessing it\'s around $100 for a refurbished D Board. |

I would say the best times are 1 week after Christmas and after the Superbowl since that is times when people return their big screen. And I know Best Buy will give discounts on open items. Also, another way to get more discounts is wait for the retailer 10% coupon and use that during Holidays. I used Best Buy 10% discount during Black Friday. You can buy the coupons on eBay.
